LA City News Blog Helps Boost Rankings of Local Poltical Blogs In State of California

If your favorite blog didn't make it into this ranking, no worries...not every blog registers to be included. But the good news here is that even though City Council is on recess, Mayor Sam and Zuma's LA Daily Blog took big jumps this week in rankings. (So you can only assume the other local blogs did, too.)

True, there were a lot of big news stories that worked in tandem with local talk radio, but many of you received emails about the new blog LA City News.Blogspot.com and perhaps the daily email blasts may have helped bump up the readership of the local blog world, this week.

Since Council was on recess this past week, I had much more time (like, round the clock) to catch up on blogging and send out emails to hundreds of people I hadn't been in contact with for a few months.

And remember ZD haters and pile-oners...Mayor Sam's blog has been around for years and has a team of writers. I'm just one little old person. So ZD #11, when I don't have any national presidential stories or "warm and fuzzy" stuff to boost ratings is very gratifying. And since I didn't have any San Fransisco Chronicle boost, this week -- it's pure issue-oriented stories, with only the occasional ZD bitter personal postings that makes some people's day, anyway.

The point is, both blogs doubled their rankings this week which means we are being heard, getting the message out there -- and are both more popular than Tammy Bruce. (Sorry John P.!)
