VICA selects Stuart Waldman as new leader

Attorney Stuart Waldman was tapped Thursday to be president of the Valley Industry and Commerce Association, succeeding Brendan Huffman as head of the business advocacy group.

I think Huffman had to step down out of concerns of conflict of interest regarding his wife, Tamar Galatzan who is on the LAUSD school board, but probably wants to run for City Council in Wendy's Greuel's council seat, and is linked to all of this LAUSD/Home Depot stuff...the whole relationship between Galatzan and her hubby at VICA has sickened the community. So I'm glad that toxic-landfill loving, sucky public comment speaker (Huffman) is outta there.

New LAUSD goals set by superintendent

Welcoming administrators back to school Thursday, Los Angeles Unified Superintendent David Brewer III outlined new measures to track student performance and urged educators to work harder to improve test scores.

[ZD loves Brewer...I DON'T CARE WHAT THESE SHADY CRIMINALLY BEHAVING VILLAR BACKED ASSHOLE BOARDMEMBERS SAY ABOUT HIM...It's THEM, not BREWER.

With that said, "Here we go again with the same promises from last year. Oh good, ZD can just break out his blog posts from last year's LAUSD kick-off speech about tracking performances and working hard to improve test scores.

YEAH, MORE TRACKING!!! But first, we should have more discussions about the methods of the tracking, then study the results of the tracking, then come up with a solution based on the tracking and let us get back to you in three decades...
