City Council Has Time For "Presentations" BUT DID NOT TAKE TIME FOR GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT at today's Council Meeting

Although I hoped to stop attending council meetings this week (not start again, after the hitaus break) I ended up attending all three, anyway, somehow...including the gas burning trip to Van Nuys today. I like to make the once a month meeting in Van Nuys for a chance to see a lot of people from the community who don't have a chance to make it Downtown.

But it looks like besides the Councilmembers and people there for the presentations, no one from the Valley can make it to Van Nuys City Hall, either. It was Miriam, ZD, Matt Dowd and Sharon Brewer. (Noel Weiss doesn't count, cause he is a paid lobbyist.) 

So seriously, besides giving ZD a lot of time with the CMs (cause Van Nuys they are much more accessable as they have to walk in and out of the same doors as the rest of the crowd), you may as well cancel the meetings from Van Nuys. It's just a big waste of time and money since no one besides the same regulars show up anyway. 

PLUS, they lost a quorum before public comment, so the public comment itself was just a dog and pony show and the entire meeting was a fraud, because they had a council meeting, where they voted on agenda items, but DID NOT HOLD PUBLIC COMMENT!!!

Sorry folks, to say, "give public comment while we are waiting for a quorum DOES NOT COUNT!!!  Then, the final councilmember arrived, they opened the roll...closed the roll...tabulated the votes, then adjourned for the day (it was the lightest agenda in history); HOWEVER, they did not hold ANY general public comment during the actual quorum, those shady sons a bitches!

AND TO THE COUNCILMEMBER WHO HAD SOMETHING TO SAY ABOUT ZUMA DOGG'S COMMENTS...

MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID, AND MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE EVEN COMMENTING ON BEFORE YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY TO ME ABOUT ANYTHING! I'm not the one destroying the region!!!!

I criticized comments where a councilmember said, "Those kids were changed and now have an alternative to joining gangs" based on a ONE TIME fishing trip.

I DIDN'T SAY THE TRIP WAS BAD!!!  AND I WAS NOT COMMENTING ON THE FISHING TRIP...I WAS COMMENTING ON THE CM'S COMMENTS IN WHAT ZUMA DOGG FELT WAS THE MOST REPULSIVE COMMENT I HAVE EVER HEARD IN CHAMBERS!

YOU KNOW WHAT...I CAN SEE WHY WE HAVE SUCH A PROBLEM AT THE COUNCIL LEVEL...AND WHY THE BALLOT MEASURES ARE DECEIVING...AND BASED ON YOUR COMMENTS TO ME TODAY, COUNCILMEMBER (it wasn't Janice)...I WONDER IF YOU PEOPLE EVEN KNOW WHAT YOU ARE VOTING ON HALF THE TIME, IF YOU DIDN'T UNDERSTAND THAT? 

BUT YOU KNOW WHO DID UNDERSTAND WHAT I WAS SAYING...All the people (African Americans) who agreed with my analysis (even though YOU missed the point) and THANKED ME for saying it!

NO PUBLIC COMMENT AT CITY COUNCIL MEETING: Meanwhile, if the council did not hold public comment, I hope they reconsider the entire agenda on Tuesday, because it was an unlawful meeting.

EMAILS: I'm getting everyone's emails about a lot of juicy issues and whatnot...but I'm toast, so I can't post. I read everything, but if you are used to a timely response, every time...gotta let that go too, for now.  But, then people get concerned cause they are used to timely responses...so this post is to let people know I'm seeing everything...but please don't email asking why I haven't responded (out of your concern), cause then it only puts more pressure on the whole situation.

Yeah, I'm just as sorry being Zuma Dogg doesn't allow me to have a moment of anything but discomfort in between council meetings. But at least people get to tune in and enjoy the show. Don't forget the popcorn!
