City Council Approves Over $250,000 in "Special Event Fee" Waivers IN ONE DAY -- As They Are Asking YOU For More Tax Money?

Readers of LA Daily Blog and City TV 35 viewers are aware of Zuma Dogg's relentless mentioning of how the Speciall Event Fee Waivers are being abused by being used for events that do not qualify. THEN, I found out the "waived" fees, are only waived to the event promoter. (It's not like LAPD, General Services, Parks and Rec, Fire, Traffic, Health and whatever departments waive THEIR payment to show up and work at these events.

So where does the money comes from, if the City is waiving fees for these events, but everyone still has to get paid? Did Eli Broad write a check? NO! Did Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa have a bake sale over the weekend and raise the money to cover these "Special Event Fees?"

And all these fee waivers that blow through the Council agenda each week really adds up over the course of the year.! Things like the All Access Broadway Event that was a $140,000 cash withdrawl out of the City's General Fund. And Tuesday's "El Grito Festival" that cost taxpayers $50,000!?!?!

As a matter of fact, I added up all the Special Event Fee Waivers on Tuesday's agenda, and it came out to over $250,000 ALONE FOR THAT ONE SINGLE AGENDA ITEM!!!

That's right kiddies...ONE ITEM, ONE VOTE, OVER $350,000!!!

HEY DUMMIES! How about you spend over $250,000 in ONE day, on ONE agenda item on some other things besides street festivals and block parties!

SOMETHING'S GOTTA GIVE!!! I THOUGHT WE WERE BELT TIGHTENING.

Or to put it another way...What the hell is the matter with you Villaraigosa and City Council!?!?!

You are treating the City's General Fund of taxpayer money the way a 12 year old would treat the money, you no discipline/non-leadership dummies!

YOU ARE ASKING THE PEOPLE WHO YOU WILL LATER ASK TO RE-ELECT YOU TO VOTE YES ON A PROPERTY TAX FOR GANG PROGRAMS; you have tripled the trash collection fees, Prop S (Phone Tax during a DECLARED financial emergency), sales taxes, transpo taxes, all kinds of new taxes...


HOW ABOUT YOU PULL THE PLUG ON THE FIESTAS AND BLOCK PARTIES YOU IRRESPONSIBLE DUMMIES!!!

I KNOW, I KNOW...EVERY PENNY OF THAT $250,000 IN ONE DAY HAD TO BE SPENT AND NOT A PENNY COULD BE CUT BACK!

HEY DUMB ASSES...THIS IS NO TIME TO BE THROWING PARTIES...YOU BETTER FIND SOMEONE ELSE TO PAY FOR THAT SHIT WHEN YOU ARE NOT EVEN ABLE TO PROVIDE BASIC SERVICES WITHOUT NEW FEES AND TAXES -- AND ARE ADDING A PROPERTY TAX FOR THE GANG PROBLEM:
