Many of you know that Zuma Dogg has some ideas for this election and holiday season.
I have my take on candidates and bonds and measures on the ballot on November 4, 2008. (Less than a month away, but just when people are ready to start thinking about local election issues.)
AND, my big idea for "economic and business development" just became even BIGGER AND BETTER with the unfortunate economic circumstances that are unfolding on a daily basis, centering around the $700 billion bailout -- AND THE NEED FOR THE BAIL OUT.
So people will be even tighter this holiday season, and Zuma Dogg has been trying to launch a $5.00 Gift Zone concept, like .99 cent stores, where working families and low-income families could buy new gifts for $5.00; two for five; and even three for five dollars. Shirts, jewelery, backpacks, Hannah Montana stuff, Bob Marley stuff, toys, belts, apparel...nothing more than $5.00.
AND, everyone knows Zuma Dogg LOVES to bust out his crowd-pleasing, weather-changing, Vegas-style karaoke revue -- and mix it up with fun party music in between singers.
WELL ZUMA DOGG HAS FALLEN IN LOVE WITH THE IDEAL LOCATION FOR "ALL" ANGELINOS TO GATHER THIS FRIDAY NIGHT AND SATURDAY MORNING FOR THE:
ZUMA DOGG/Z.A.P. ELECTION '08 RALLY EVENT:
Please join Zuma Dogg of Z.A.P. (Zuma's Action Plan) this Friday and Saturday at Casa Princesa Cafe at 4527 York Blvd (in the Sign-A-Rama Parking lot). (Just EAST of Eagle Rock Blvd on York Blvd...where Glassell Park meets Highland Park meets Eagle Rock!)
FRIDAY 7PM: Join Zuma Dogg and other ZAPPERS for the Election '08 Event Rally. Zuma Dogg will be going over the "ZAP Election '08 Voter Pamphlet" (free copies for all) that goes over the candidates, bonds and ballot measures with the ZAP checklist of "yes" and "no" votes.
Voter registration forms will be on hand for you to register -- AND forms for you to take with you to hand out to people as you come across in the community that you may want to help register. PLUS, stop by to pimp your cause/issue from your specific community/organization.
ZUMA DOGG WILL BE MAKING AN ANNOUNCEMENT AS TO ONE FOCUSED GOAL HE WOULD LIKE ALL PEOPLE IN LOS ANGELES TO GET BEHIND!!!
AND...THERE IS A ROCKING SOUNDSYSTEM, SO ZUMA DOGG WILL HOLD GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ALL PEOPLE WHO WANT TO ADDRESS THE CROWD...
THEN IT'S ZUMA DOGG -- LIVE -- KARAOKE DJ PARTY!!! Witness the show stopping spectacular that IS Zuma Dogg...as he hosts the party -- and ALL PEOPLE who want to get in a little LIVE rehearsal time for their next American Idol audition can sing, too!!!
CASA PRINCESA is a new, UPSCALE, coffee shop and sandwich cafe with free wi-fi for all (customers) -- and is very, very classy, new and fresh. Nice tile floors and hardwood floors. Nice new furniture...BIG OPEN SPACE WITH HIGH CEILINGS. CLEAN RESTROOMS!!!
Ask CM Jose Huizar or Ed Reyes about this place. THEY GOTTA LOVE IT AS MUCH AS ZUMA DOGG!!! It's gonna be a real jewel for the community, because of it's location where Eagle Rock meets Highland Park...and it's a REALLY NICE PLACE for York Ave. So let the Economic Redevelopment begin.
ALSO ON HAND: The $5.00 GIFT STORE will be up and running for Friday night, so bring some extra money, cause there will be a lot of cool stuff, at "Zuma Dogg Crazy" prices. (I'm the new Crazy Gideon!)
OF COURSE, a nice food and beverage menu with prices that reflect the district. (NOT OVER-PRICED.) AND the food is quality as hell! They gave ZD a free panini sandwich (their specialty) and it was great quality.
Bring your computers if you wanna surf, cause free wi-fi.
SATURDAY MORNING 8AM-1PM: SAME THING!!! (More casual, just stop by to say hello, pick up your "ZAP Packet"; check out the "$5.00 Gift Store" and let Zuma Dogg know about your issue or organization and drop off any information you think I may like to be aware of for upcoming blogging and comments.

Meet Zuma Dogg and discuss your items/issues with ZD and everyone else. Bring by your information to leave for ZD and others. There will be "open mic" public comment, followed by ZD Karaoke Revue and Friday Night Hangout. ZAPPERS will be going over the ballot and handing out the "ZAP PACKET" (Election '08 Voter Information Packet with ZD's Comments).
PLUS, the $5.00 Gift store.
