So here is the list that Zuma Dogg will be reviewing to look for cases that deserve a "yes" when it will be getting a "no" vote by council.
I hope City Attorney-elect Carmen Trutanich is aware of this process, because he will be the City Attorney who will be defending the city in any class action lawsuits relating to the blanket rejections; that may be sweeping some under the rug that may legally require the city to vote "yes", even though a "rejection" is recommended in the council file:
The valid use of the hardship exemption, which could allow for a "yes", is for dispensaries who were forced to move when the DEA went to landlords and "warned" (scared) them into evicting their dispensary tenants. So some co-ops, who were opened prior to the I.C.O. were forced to move and allowed to relocate. Because these people already had licenses, so are/were supposed to be allowed to re-open for this reason. However, the co-op under review on Wednesday's agenda in Tom LaBong's district is citing, "two blocks from a library" as the reason a "no" is recommended, even though it says in the file it was one of the co-ops forced to move by the DEA scare tactict on landlords that worked in some cases.
I would also like to remind the City Attorney's office that currently, there are no rules or laws in effect that address proximity to a library, park, school, church or hospital delivery room...SO THAT AIN'T A REAL REASON, Y'ALL! It's a reason you can use. But it will also be the reason you get sued over. And Zuma Dogg will be there to notify all the co-ops who he feels are being illegally steamrolled over.
I will also continue, as I have been doing, to notify the Gay and Lesbian community and the AIDS community that City Council woke up a couple weeks ago and decided WE have enough dispensaries, even though it is not based on any analysis of actual statistical information...AND CITY COUNCIL JUST ANNOUNCED ON FRIDAY THE THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA IS ELIMINATING...not reducing, but ELIMINATING THE AIDS DRUG BUDGET!!!
So you may be needing MORE dispensaries than you have accounted for when many of these AIDS patients who were previously using pharmaceutical medications, are forced to start using less expensive alternative medications, of which Medical Marijuana is the primary alternative.
AND, when you say we have more than enough, it's kinda hard to make that argument when they are all managing to stay in business. (Supply and Demand, dummies! You can say you don't like it, but you can't say there are too many if they are all in business.)
NOTE FROM ZUMA DOGG: I would like to state for the record at this time that I also am aware than a percentage of co-ops out there do not qualify for the hardship exemption; AND, Zuma Dogg did a little random inspection of three co-ops this weekend and two of the three were in violation of State regulations as far as Zuma Dogg is concerned. SO ZUMA DOGG IS ALSO HERE TO SAY, YOU CO-OPS BETTER FIND OUT THE ACTUAL STATE LAW THAT WILL KEEP YOU A CO-OP AND NOT A DRUG TRAFFICKER! Because if ZD found problems with 2 of 3...THINK HOW EASY IT WOULD BE FOR THE CITY TO CRACK DOWN!
CURRENTLY, the city has an I.C.O. which is supposed to prevent new co-ops from opening, but they have NO rules and regulations or laws on where or how these co-ops can and should operate. SORRY, it's nice to say, "only two blocks from the library" but you should have done something about it before it became too late for you to do anything about. DO I HAVE TO RUN FOR CITY COUNCIL MYSELF TO MAKE YOU CITY COUNCIL DUMMIES DO THINGS THE RIGHT WAY????
ALSO, requiring the way co-ops acquire the product they provide to their members/patients...THE CO-OPS BETTER LOOK AT THE STATE LAW AND BECOME COMPLIANT, BECAUSE IF YOU GAVE ME A MILLION DOLLARS, I WOULD BET IT ON THE PREMISE THAT MOST, MOST, MOST...I SAID MOST CO-OPS in the city, are not doing it compliantly.
BUT, the city is pissing me off with their flippant, arrogant, population controlling (because they are saying no to AIDS patients and that means they are saying no to the Gay community, and all of their friends and family supporters who are going to be mad at you for making their lives more miserable when they won't have safe access to the medication that is providing the patient AND THEREFORE THEIR FAMILY relief you dumb, arrogant dummies. DO YOU THINK WE CARE WHAT YOU HAVE TO SAY ON THIS? WE DON'T! YOU ARE JUST SUPPOSED TO DO WHAT WE TELL YOU! YOU HAVE NO CREDIBILITY ON ANYTHING YOU JACKASS CLOWNCIL MEMBERS.
