Personally, the only thing I can think of, at this point, that would get us out of this complete city council madness...IS A BALLOT MEASURE FOR L.A. CITY COUNCIL TO SIMPLY BE BEATEN TO DEATH, AS A COLLECTIVE BODY, LIVE ON CITY TV 35.
YES, they said, "NO" to handing over the $40 million in council controlled (political slush) funds to help prevent more firings and a dangerous dip in level of entitled services to be provided to voters/residents.
I'VE HEARD ALL I NEED TO HEAR...
"NO, we are saying, "NO" to the community demand that the money be used to prevent a dangerous loss of services and complete municipal decimation.
Empty-headed DUMMY Tom "The Bong" LaBong said he can't turn the money over because he uses it to clean the neighborhood. (WHO THE HELL VOTED FOR THAT DOLT?) Others need it for a park that we can't afford to staff. And when ALL HELL BREAKS LOOSE ON THE STREETS OVER ALL OF THIS -- THEY CAN HAVE THE MELEE IN YOUR NEW PARK!
I don't think Tom and Council recognizes the budget situation and I AM COMPLETELY CERTAIN THAT I HAVE MY ANSWER: THAT COUNCIL DOES NOT HAVE THE CHARACTER TO MAKE RESPONSIBLE DECISIONS.
THIS IS AN URGENT MATTER OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND BASED ON WHAT I JUST HEARD...THE ONLY SCENARIO I CAN ENVISION AS A WAY OUT OF THIS MESS IS IF CITY COUNCIL AS A COLLECTIVE BODY WERE SIMPLY BEATEN TO DEATH once this measure is placed on the ballot.
THEY ARE PUTTING MILLIONS AT RISK. LOSING 15 PEOPLE TO SAVE MILLIONS OF PEOPLES' REAL SAFETY IS WHAT ZUMA DOGG CALLS REAL SHARED SACRIFICE!
I REALLY DON'T THINK ANYTHING GOOD IS GOING TO HAPPEN UNLESS L.A. CITY COUNCIL IS SIMPLY BEATEN TO DEATH LIVE ON TV 35 UNDER A NEW CHARTER LAW, which would be a lot more effective than simply cutting their salaries. Having their fingers cut off so they can't press their button to speak, or to vote would be the next best option and is more likely to be approved by compassionate, liberal L.A. voters.
Has an MTA bus ever fallen out of the sky and onto the council chamber horseshoe? We can only hope!
LA TIMES ARTICLE ON THE TRAGIC MATTER:
The push by Los Angeles' elected officials to address a growing financial crisis hit a new stage on Friday: open battle.
Just as credit rating agencies want them to work in unison on erasing a $212-million budget shortfall, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa and members of the City Council traded threats and accusations on city spending and political leadership.
Villaraigosa started the day by promising to veto plans by the council to spend money from its discretionary accounts. The council ignored that warning, allocating $389,000 for a new park in the San Fernando Valley and $95,000 for sidewalk repairs in South Los Angeles.
After the votes, council President Eric Garcetti defended both projects and said city lawyers concluded that the mayor has no power to veto such expenditures. "It just seems like a case of bad research and bad knowledge by the mayor," Garcetti said.
ERIC, TALK ABOUT BAD KNOWLEGE...DID YOU NOTICE YOU WERE THE SMART-ASS COUNCILMEMBER WITH THAT SMUG, POMPOUS LOOK ON YOUR FACE OVER THE PAST FOUR YEARS???? WHAT GOOD WAS YOUR KNOWLEDGE, PUNK? WHAT DID YOU DO, ERIC GARCETTI TO PREVENT ANY OF THIS??? NOT A GOSH DAMN THING, PUSSY!
I'M MORE CONCERNED ABOUT COUNCIL PRESIDENTS DRIVING CITY VEHICLES WHILE DRUNK, HITTING A KID ON BIKE WITH THE CITY CAR, THEN PAYING THE KID'S FAMILY OFF FOR SILENCE, ERIC!
Villaraigosa's budget aide, Deputy Chief of Staff Matt Szabo, sat in the audience and, as those votes were cast, signaled that as many as three expenditures could become the subject of a veto.

ZD TWEET TO @VILLARAGIOSA: @Villaraiogsa Hey Mayor, if Garpussy says you cannot veto their slush fund expenditures...VETO EVERYTHING ELSE! THAT WILL TEACH 'EM!
ZD says the mayor may have gotten us into this mess, along with council. But I think the mayor is more of a hope to get us out of it than CITY COUNCIL at this point. I REALLY MEAN THAT! TAKE A LOOK AND LISTEN. Villar is under TREMENDOUS PRESSURE and KNOWS what lies ahead for the city...COUNCIL IS STILL A BUNCH OF ADDICTED, JUVENILE, CLOWNS. THEY DO NOT HAVE THE ABILITY OR APTITUDE TO PUBLICLY MAKE A REAL DECISION. ITS A WHOLE NEW BALL GAME AND ZD SAYS THE MAYOR IS THE ONE TO GET BEHIND AS OF THIS WEEK.
GARCETTI IS AN ARROGANT ASSHOLE WHO I HAVE REALLY LEARNED A HELL OF A LOT ABOUT RECENTLY, OVER ALL OF THIS. AND HE'S JUST A PRETTY-BOY, MAMA'S BOY-SISSY. (And as of this week, he won't really be able to walk the streets of his own district without some form of security detail.)
By the time of the next L.A. City mayoral election, Zuma Dogg will get more votes than the politically TOXIC Eric "I'm Gil's Son" Garcetti. AND I WILL RUN JUST TO PROVE THAT DEFEAT AND FOREVER BE ABLE TO RUB IT IN HIS FACE! I ASSURE YOU, ZUMA DOGG WILL BE ABLE TO GET MORE VOTES THAN GARCETTI FOR MAYOR BY THE TIME THIS IS OVER. I don't think he realizes how he is going to be taking an UN-RECOVERABLE POLITICAL BLOW OVER ALL OF THIS! AND NOW, ESPECIALLY THIS! (Council controlled fund issue.) ADIOS, PUNK!
OUTRAGE DISCLAIMER: Of course this is all one big funny comedy parody post and I know you can't really pass a Charter ballot measure to be allowed to beat L.A. City Council to death, even though I DO really wish an MTA bus would fall out of the sky and onto the heads of City Council. (Or at least charter a flight from the pilot of Lynyrd Skynyrd to one of their conventions.)
