Oh no...no wonder Zuma Dogg always spells it "alarCON."
Zuma Times has heard that Councilmember Richard alarCON wants to run for Wendy Greuel's Council seat when Wendy runs for controller (when Laura Chick is termed out).
I hope this isn't true, because how despicable if it is true. If alarCON were to do this, it would be saying to the community that supported him, that they are just a bunch of meaningless stepping stones for him to continue to use for his own political and financial good. (But that's what I have said about him all along. He uses compassion talk to sell the people, but they are just props for him to achieve his goal of staying in political office, no matter what.
I mean, he's the douchebag that made all those promises to everyone about what a great ASSemblymember he would be, only to jump ship to run for Council (based on a Prop R LOOPHOLE), right after he was elected. AND NOW, after he just gets his Council district a voice mail system for the council office -- he is going to abandon THOSE people, because he might be able to cling onto power a little longer if he pulls this merry-go-round routine.
It's all because alarCON want to increase the amount of Latinos on the Council. So he will run for Greuel's seat, because he's so arrogant that he will win, cause his crew controls the polls, and then he can run a latino in his current council seat.
CAN YOU IMAGINE IF BILL ROSENDAHL OR TOM LA BONG OR JANICE HAHN SAID THEY WANTED TO MAKE SURE THEIR COUNCIL SEAT WENT TO A EUROPEAN?
The thing I don't like about Alarcon, is he is a niched, divisive elected official. He doesn't represent ALL people. Just a niched faction. Some people would call that a "racist" because isn't that the true definition of "racism?" (Someone that wants to stick to their own race.) I think "nationalist" is more accurate.
So if it is true that alarCON is going to run for Wendy's CM seat, so he can run a Latino in his current seat...I think we should teach Richard alarCON a thing or two about the way people thing and feel about this type of divisiveness on the northern side of the southern border!
