LA City's "Affordable Housing" Ballot Measure ALL ABOUT ELI'S GRAND AVENUE PARK MONEY!!!

You may have read that Zuma Dogg and a memeber from the public named "Mary" will be teaming up to write the ballot-opposition for the City's new "Affordable Housing" measure that will appear on the November '08 ballot.

And you've heard Zuma Dogg say that the problem with all of these ballot measures is that the voters thinks they are getting "one thing", but end up getting something else.

ZUMA DOGG IS HERE TO SAY: Although Villaraigosa is portraying this as a measure to remove those mean old Federal restrictions that prevent the City from building affordable housing for working families...this is really about the same thing everything else in this City is about: The Broadfather (Aka: Eli Broad)

Now he has his puppet Mayor Antonio putting measures on the ballot that will change the law, just so that Eli, Related and the Arab Emirate Family of Dubai can get their Prop 1c money for their cement commercial zone (they are calling it a "park".)

You may have heard that voters approved money for Prop 1c, which voters were somehow lead to believe was to go to Emergency Shelter for battered women and their children; and to help elderly and disabled become get into homes.

HOWEVER, LA Weekly confirmed (click here for article) that this Prop 1c money will be going to the Grand Ave Project (cement) park that is already heavily subsidized.

And here is what initially tipped me from an Antonio memo from June 2, 2008 to LAHD:

Ramifications of the status quo: (Not passing): Most notably, the city's projects will not be able to apply for their fair share of the funds available (for) $1.2 billion Prop 1C - The Housing and Emergency Shelter Trust of 2006, which according to your article is being used for the Arab Emirate Family of Dubai's subsidized cement programmable commercial zone (otherwise known as a park).

So if this doesn't pass, no cement commercial zone money from Prop 1C.

So this whole thing, to me, appears to be Uncle Eli making sure the City changes zoning laws, so the City doesn't lose out on the money, earmarked for the park.

If this passes, it will increase density and hurt the elderly that this law was passed for. (To provide ELDERLY with affordable housing.)

But now, Antonio is using the tactic of, affordable housing for working families because it is too expensive for working families to live in the city, near their jobs. (YEAH, cause you went all upscale/luxury on the housing and ditched the 20-30% affordable requirements.

SO TO SUMMARIZE: The city has maxed out the amount of affordable housing they are allowed to build, without going to a vote of the people for approval. And if this doesn't pass, the City will miss out on Prop 1c money that is promoted as being used for Emergency Housing and Shelter, but we know is being used for Grand Ave Park. (Which is not affordable, or and emergency...and since it is all cement, you can't even lay down to take a nap -- which is the point.)

More to come. But Zuma Dogg will be asking for a "no" vote from voters on this one. MORE TO COME. That's just the tip of the shadiness.
