The Difference Between Trutanich Agreeing To Have His Office Audited...AND DROPPING THE LAWSUIT (BIG, BIG Difference!)

You heard about the discrepancy between new City Attorney Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich and new City Controller Wendy "Greuesom" Greuel.

The previous Controller, Laura Chick sued the previous City Attorney, Rocktard Delgadilldo over the ability to audit his office. In this lawsuit, in order for the Controller to be able to audit the City Attorney, it would also mean the Controller would be able to audit City Council and offices and departments ACROSS the City.

Now the judge was looking like he was ready to rule in favor of the City Attorney (against Chick's suit). This would mean the Controller (Greuesom, or whoever the future Controller is) CANNOT audit citywide, including City Attorney, Council and elsewhere.

Nuch and Greuesom met with the judge and asked for more time to try and work it out together before a judgement is made. If the judge rules as expected, Controller LOSERS (no citywide audits...AND her attorney doesn't get paid).

There has been pressure for Nuch to drop the suit. But first of all, he says if the City Attorney's office drops the suit, then the ruling goes in favor of the Controller, and the city would have to pay the Controller's lawyer fees. BUT, it would ALSO mean that the Controller WINS...so that means the Controller COULD do all those City Council and Citywide audits!!!

HERE'S THE CATCH: City Attorney Trutanich informs us that it is not up to him to drop the suit. He is City Council's attorney...THEY are HIS client and he can only make recommendations. And we all know Council will do what they want, anyway.

Nuch is trying to figure out a way to be able to drop the suit...but also not have to pay the other side's legal bill as a result. THAT'S FINE...but Zuma Dogg wants to make sure you do not base the decision to drop the suit, or not soley on the couple hundred thousand that you might have to pay. HERE'S WHY: That couple hundred thousand dollars, will allow the Controller to audit citywide...and that FEAR alone would cut back a lot of shadiness...AND, the audits could end up saving BILLIONS!!!

So let's just say either Nuch gets the discount, or decides...F-IT! This will be the BEST money ever spent in L.A. history, because it will allow for audits. (Even though ZD does not like WENDY being the one in charge of this authority because she will use it in politically motivated ways...but I am speaking FUNDAMENTALLY for the history of ALL controllers and controllers in general.)

CITY COUNCIL HAS TO GIVE NUCH PERMISSION TO DROP THE SUIT (which would allow for citywide audits, including of their office.)

As a City Council candidate, I vote DROP THE LAWSUIT AND ALLOW AUDITS! I would want the help of audits to help uncover any inefficiencies.

HOW CAN CITY COUNCIL SAY NO TO MORE ACCOUNTABILITY???

IN THIS BUDGET CRISIS...HOW CAN CITY COUNCIL SAY NO TO LOOKING FOR CITYWIDE SAVINGS IN AREAS NOT ABLE TO BE LOOKED INTO PREVIOUSLY?

SO I HOPE THIS ISN'T ABOUT MONEY ON THIS ISSUE...GO GET THE DISCOUNT NUCH, BUT IF NOT...I HOPE YOU RECOMMEND TO COUNCIL THEY LET YOU DROP THE SUIT.

HOW CAN CITY COUNCIL SAY "NO" TO ADDED TRANSPARENCY AND WAYS TO LOOK FOR SAVINGS?

Hmmmm, looks like council is in a real dilemma. Looks like they may be painted into a corner. Because of course council will fight to the death to prevent a new law that would allow the Controller to audit their shady and irresponsible asses.

Finally, if Council DOES NOT...Nuch and Greuel have already said, they will try to get it on the ballot so the Charter change can be made that prevented the judge from ruling in favor of the Controller in the first place. (It was a Charter issue.) So council BETTER drop it, cause if they don't and it goes to a ballot measure...I'm sure some recalls may be added to the ballot, as well.

So it's not enough for Nuch and Wendy to just agree that she will audit HIS office...they need to drop the suit also so Council and others can be audited to. HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO THAT!
