Why We Are Having TOWN HALL Event SUNDAY April 4th: Villaraigosa Says, Voters remain committed to paying a green "carbon surcharge" even in recession

To quote the great Matt Szabo the Clown (not to be confused with "Bozo the Clown" who is from Chicago, this piece of misguided comedy just came across his Twitter feed:

"LA voters remain committed to green energy - and a carbon surcharge to pay for it - even in the midst of recession."

NO! I don't think they do.

DWP RATES ARE GOING TO SKYROCKET, AS IT IS -- WITHOUT A "SURCHARGE" for Villar's Green Nutty Dream.

More Matt: "LA Voters wanted more cops in 2005, and paid for them with higher trash fees. Now they want the City to invest in green power, and are willing to pay for it with a carbon surcharge." (LA Voters didn't VOTE for trash collection fees. Are you saying they won't vote on "carbon surcharge," either. Doesn't sound like it. MAY AS WELL GO OUT WITH A BANG, ANOTNIO!")

Cabaret Voltaire Presents

LA City News TOWN HALL
with Zuma Dogg and Friends
Sunday April 4th at 1pm
"The Arena" (
1625 N Las Palmas & Hollywood Blvd)
Bring people. Gonna try to channel the outrage and drag new people into it to turn up the heat. It's a nice 100 seat theater. Bring your own crowd to raise attention to your issue and let's focus on this carbon surcharge and sending a message to City Hall that they mayor had his research chart upside down when he read that voters support a carbon surcharge to cover HIS ASS in this budget emergency. THIS IS THE TIPPING POINT!
