NOW STREAMING: Dr. W. Edwards Deming on How To Fix A Broken System (Like L.A. City Hall) - INTRODUCTION to Qualtiy Management (Part 1)

BREAKING NEWS (4/28/10): The Deming Institute is holding an international seminar, right here in L.A., June 7-9. Email LACityNews@Gmail.com for info. Agenda info: http://ow.ly/1Elfg

THURSDAY APRIL 22, 2010 UPDATE:
Updated the video feed. Now streaming "Intro to Deming" and "How Florida DWP Reduced Waste and Improved Efficiency with Deming's 14 Points. (In addition to the short clip from yesterday still streaming in this loop.) So, sit back and enjoy the show. This isn't for the activists who are more into fist pounding and shouting empty exhortations -- BUT, for the actual people at City Hall who actually have to bail their ass out of this mess. WATCH THE SHOW!

4/21/10: You have heard me refer to "Methods for Management of Quality and Productivity" based on Dr. W. Edward Deming's 14 Points. And as Zuma Dogg is now hearing an elevated level of "empty exhortations" on BOTH SIDES OF THE ROPE (activists and the mayor) as the city is in a budget and service tailspin, I want to start using my video stream to stream videos like the one streaming now (of Ed Deming) to help other activists better understand how you actually accomplish the goal of transforming a broken system. Until you do that, it's the same old treadmill of fist pounding and empty exhortations. (Just a matter of how hard you are pounding your fist and how loud loud you can shout your empty exhortation at a rally or press conference.)

So check back to this blog throughout the day as I start to program the video stream with videos that have inspired and motivated ZD from authors and consultants like Ries & Trout, Dr. Deming, NLP, Tony Robbins and other videos that I wish to share with people who follow this blog for something more than links to L.A. Times posts. And it doesn't do any more good to simply keep talking about City Hall and all the problems. Time to take a step back and see how to accomplish the goal. Keep in mind, Deming's book is called, "Out of the Crisis."
