EMBEDDED VIDEO PLAYBACK: Los Angeles City Council - Special Budget Meeting for Villaraigosa's '11-'12 Budget (VOTES TAKEN!)

Here are a few segments from this marathon meeting, today, regarding Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's 2011-2012 joke of a budget for City of Los Angeles. You can read and hear all about it (analysis) elsewhere. But here is a replay of the actual meeting, for people that like to hear things for themselves. (Started 25 minutes into the 8 hour meeting, to cut past the intro stuff.)

Councilman Bernard Parks really does a great job at explaining it in the first few minutes of this video. CLEARLY, the "A" student, explaining it to everyone, so the class can carry on. Explains it to/for all of us, too. Followed by the excellent L.A. City Chief Legislative Analyst Gerry Miller. (Always worth listening to him, too.)

PROGRAMMING NOTE: If you wanna scan past public comment and the agenda run-through/clarifications, the council budget talks basically start at 1:38:30 into the video. (1 hour and 38 minutes and 30 seconds. EZ to scrolll.)
