I'm sure you remember the LA Weekly story on the 3rd & Rose (Venice) RV parking issue, that The Weekly compared to "skid row." At the time, I did not, and I still do not feel it is ANYTHING like Skid Row, because it's not populated with masses...just a few people, at any given time, sitting on the sidewalk; and some RVs parked on the street, as allowed.
Additionally, at the time, the sidewalks and streets were still clean...SO CLEAN, I took my ZumaCAM, and showed the streets were clean enough to sleep and eat on.
HOWEVER, a lot has changed in a year, after councilman Bill Rosendahl squandered the general fund with his council cronies, during the past five years of L.A. City Council meetings (fraud, waste and abuse, that ROSENDAHL NEVER VOTED, ONE TIME, AGAINST/IN OPPOSITION, and WENT ALONG WITH/WAS COMPLICIT WITH EVERYTHING THAT BROUGHT US TO THIS BUDGETARY MESS, CLOSURES AND SERVICES REDUCTIONS), it appears the streets TRULY HAVE FALLEN INTO A FILTHY CIRCUMSTANCE.
And as usual, I was NOT seeking to follow up on any investigative story. I stumbled upon (around, actually; luckily for the bottom of my shoes), this public health & safety issue, while walking a friend who drove to Venice to visit ZD, back to his car.
I WAS SHOCKED AT WHAT I SAW, AND PULLED OUT MY CELL PHONE CAMERA. Here is the video:
WARNING: GRAPHIC IMAGES! Bill Rosendahl has allowed his council district to degenerate into a fesses-infested, trash-overflowing, graffiti tagged-up, overall squalor dump.
AND THIS IS IN THE NICEST PART OF THE VENICE AND THE CITY, IN GENERAL: Rose Ave. A quaint, quiet, mom and pop street where residents stroll their babies, walk their poodles and TOURISTS & VISITORS walk through, to access Venice Beach, from Lincoln.
YOU ARE BRINGING DOWN THE PROPERTY VALUE, ROSENDAHL! STOP CAMPAIGNING UNDER THE GUISE OF CITY BUSINESS AND TAKE YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS...I MEAN VENICE BEACH SAND.
CD 11 Bill Rosendahl: The City may NOT enforce parking laws/generate revenue if posted sign is tagged w graffiti. [Bill, I thought it said, "2 Hour Parking 4pm-6pm. It was only 8am. Thought I had 8 hours until the sign went into effect!]
YOU HAVE AMPLE WARNING, PEOPLE! (Bill Rosendahl's BEAUTIFUL Rose Ave on Venice by Whole Foods plaza. ALL of this is!)
HOW MANY MORE MONTHS is Zuma Dogg going to walk past this melted city recycle bin, on a daily basis?
Does ANYONE who works for Bill Rosendahl's office, or Bill himself ever spend ANY TIME outside town hall rooms, campaigning for Bill's "lifetime health benefits and added pension benefits" term...and actually WALK AND SEE THE STREETS???
THIS IS ALL ON ROSE AVE., the only street ZD can even set foot on, in Venice. ONLY WHEN I HAVE TO GO TO LINCOLN FOR 99 Cent Store, best believe. AND YOU CAN SEE WHY IF SHE WANTS TO SEE ME, YOU CAN TELL HER THAT I'M EASILY FOUND...tell her there's a spot out near SANTA MONICA, where Zuma Dogg spends 99% of his time...away from, "The Fesses in Bill Rosendahl's Edge of Town."
