Blogs vs Newspapers: Why are blogs beating newspaper websites, too?


Alright, I'm sure we can all agree that blogs have a competitive advantage over printed, once-daily newspapers. But what is the reason that blogs are beating the online version of newspaper websites, like LA Times?

For example, is there any reason LA Daily Blog should have posted the $1.6 Firefighter jury award (Tennie Pierce related) OVER 4 HOURS BEFORE LATIMES.COM GOT AROUND TO POSTING IT?

Wonder if they read the post on LA Daily Blog, first (at 4:30 PM PST) ...or are just the LAzy Times?

One of the costliest racial harassment cases in the history of the Los Angeles City Fire Department grew more expensive Monday when a jury awarded $1.6 million to two white captains suspended after a black firefighter they supervised had his meal laced with dog food.
