Better be sitting down and have a hankie ready for this one. Jamiel Shaw's mother and father (Mr. Jamiel & Anita Shaw) showed up to Los Angeles City Council chambers today to deliver public comment in favor of Jamiel's Law.
It is simply a must listen for all. The most beautifully delivered, heartfelt speech you may ever hear. And you best believe they didn't cut him off at the 2 minute buzzer.
A short comment by CM Richard Alarcon precedes the Shaw's speech, so you'll have to sit through that first. (But it's short. Just like the community's patience will be for Alarcon on this one if he doesn't keep his stupid trap shut.)
ALSO: Audio from KRLA radio talk show host Kevin James, who appeared before City Council to deliver public comment for the first time.
