Zuma Dogg Back In Los Angeles: MASSIVE BLOG POSTS COMING SOON!

Some of you may not have know that I have been out of town for the past little bit, which is why you haven't seen me at City Hall or on TV 35. (Even though I kept the blogging up, more than ever, over this period.)

But I returned to L.A. on Tuesday, and was at City Council on Wednesday and the meeting provided a lot of new material to post here.

Of course it was very exciting to have Kevin James of KRLA play audio of the council meeting from LA Daily Blog.com and gave ZD a nice mention. Then after Kevin played clips including Matt Dowd's public comment, Zuma and Matt called into the show to weigh in on things.

Kevin James, who went to his first council meeting and ended delivering his own public comment before council (even though he thought he was just showing up to observe) was most interested in finding out from Zuma Dogg (who has attended way too many council meetings over the past two years) if City Council is always so un-attentive to public comment speakers. (A lot of concern about CMs talking and non-paying attention and not even being in the room for public testimony.

ZD has become so immune and unaccustomed to this, I don't even notice anymore. But after Kevin's reminder, I turned my camera on the Councilmembers, yesterday, to see how bad it was. IT'S BAD. Clusters of CMs talking though entire agenda item's woth of public comment.

And (hopefully) soon to be former City Council President Eric Garcetti couldn't have had more to say to everyone in the room, during the entire day's worth of public comment, throughout multiple agenda items. (The guy couldn't of heard a word said during the meeting, except for the sound of his voice talking to everyone else, distracting other CMs, as well.

AND TO MAKE MATTERS WORSE: Jamiel Shaw, Sr. was on Doug McIntyre's 790 KABC morning show, this morning and Mr. Shaw provided even more compelling background to his story, and is simply the sweetest, most emphatic person I have ever heard.

There is no way Villar, Parker, Parque, Trujillo or any of those empty headed-combative, weak-ass-spinning a-holes could ever diffuse.

AND HERE'S WHAT MR. SHAW TOLD L.A. VOTERS ON DOUG'S SHOW TODAY: When he and his wife (Anita Shaw) firs walked into Council chambers, Council had him into the back room, and given the kiss-ass treatment. He said, that it was his first time at City Council and wasn't sure if this was usual protocol, and wondered if he was being "tricked". (He was, he missed his public comment, then had to have someone complain to Garcetti to allow Mr. Shaw to speak.)

Mr. Shaw also said his experience of City Council public comment was, "like Happy Happy. Like a social gathering." He was shocked that people were walking in and out of the room, were not paying attention to the other public comment speakers, and CM Parks did not come out to hear public comment until the Shaw family spoke.

It was downhill for City Council from there. Mcintyre played audio of Councildummy Ed Reyes ON LOU DOBBS CNN (NATIONAL/INTERNATIONALLY) AND SAYS (regarding either Jamiel's Law, or Special Order 40) that, "It would hurt the economy and destroy the spirit of the community."

EXCUSE ME COUNCILDUMMY REYES: What community are YOU talking about? Don't throw the REAL community under the bus, Dummy Reyes. The people in the community want a safe community that they can walk to the park in. Why would you do anything to undermine the safety of the kids and their moms and grandmas? Hey ED, do not taint the image of the REAL community by trying to portray that THEY don't want a safe neighborhood in the way that Jamiel's Law may end up helping. WHAT ECONOMY WOULD THAT HURT ED? And the community would have their spirits lifted by safer streets, ED!

BUT THIS IS ABOUT COUNCIL AND THE FACT THE ISSUE OF THEIR NON-ATTENTIVENESS JUST POPPED UP ON THE RADAR WITH PEOPLE LIKE TALK RADIO HOSTS AND MR. JAMIEL SHAW.

AND THE FACT THAT ALL THESE DUMB COUNCILMEMBERS WHO ARE GOING TO TRY TO SPIN THIS ARE ABOUT TO HAVE THEIR ASSES HANDED TO THEM BY THE COMPASSIONATE, EMPATHETIC WORDS AND EMOTION OF MR. SHAW.

THIS IS GOING ON THE FRONT BURNER IN THIS CITY, Y'ALL...LIKE IT, OR NOT.

FINALLY: One good thing about ZD being visible in the community, is people recognize me -- and like to tell me their stories about city shadiness.

MAYOR ANTONIO VILLARAIGOSA JUST GOT SO UNBELIEVABLY-CONICIDENTALLY UNLUCKY WHEN IT COMES TO THE PERSON ZUMA DOGG HAPPENED TO BUMP INTO YESTERDAY. No one anyone would know who reads this blog. But the mayor is VERY aware of this person. And although they may be doing business with the City and the Mayor...let's just say "not a fan of the mayor; not a fan of smart growth; not a fan of Grand Ave Project; everyone knows the Mayor is not going to be re-elected (making matters even more shaky). Basically, this person says watch for a bunch of giant skyscrapers on a bunch of the vacant parking lots downtown. But they forgot to put in the things people need in a community like costco, best buy, target, etc. And you will not be able to get anyone to move Downtown, so you will have a City of vacant units, no one wants to move into -- and that's when you get lots of "luxury" affordable housing. And the homeless situation is going to increase -- and if the City tries to push 'em around...they ain't gonna make things so easy for the City, either.

SUMMARY: A bunch of people believed in Antonio Villaraigosa and supported him. He slammed the door on every supporters face...broke every promise he made...screwed around with Mirthala, pulled all his shady bullsh*t...and now the city is in crisis...it's much, much worse than the general public realizes it is going to be, with all this DUMB smart growth...and Villar won't be able to get elected for Mayberry Council Ombudman. BUH-BYE, DOUCHETONIO!

CHECK BACK LATER TODAY FOR GARCETTI CHIT-CHAT MARATHON DURING CITY COUNCIL PUBLIC COMMENT.

AND OH YEAH...DWP SHOCKER: City Council approved the DWP Rate Hike at Wednesday's meeting. Look for a 20% or more increase coming to your water and electric bill, soon.
