LINCOLN HEIGHTS CITIZEN'S ALERT: Vote For Hugo Pacheo For LC Neighborhood Council PRESIDENT (Or Suffer Terrible Consequences In My Opinion)

This is a matter of public safety. Next month (Thursday June 12, 2008) there is an election for President of Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council.

Recently, you heard me urge all people in Boyle Heights to vote for Jose Aguilar as BH NC President. (CLICK HERE FOR JOSE AGUILAR BLOG POST)

And now, I urge you JUST AS STRONGLY to vote in Hugo Pacheco as President of Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council.

I have known Hugo Pacheco for most of my time as a City blogger over the past two years. Hugo Pacheco has provided me with some of the most valuable and thoroughly researched information that I have been privileged to see.

When it came to the Las Villas project in Lincoln Heights that anyone reading this is aware of, I can tell you that Hugo Pacheco was on the short list of people who really helped do the leg-work and heaviest of heavy lifting on this project, which DID eventually lead to Councilmember Ed Reyes publicly admitting the plug was being pulled on this controversial project that so many members of the community were against.

Hugo always provides Zuma Dogg with all the legalese/documentation/proof that backs up what he says, when he contacts Zuma Times with important issues that I always end up blogging about based on his passionate presentation.

(Hugo shows up with the serious bombshell stuff that makes an impact. And he does it through research and community networking.)

You may have heard Zuma Dogg speaking to City Council this week (broadcast on City TV 35) about my concern that many neighborhood councils have been taken over by Mayor Antonio Villaraiogosa with board members and board presidents that are backed by the mayor and are there to do his work.

There is no more decent, honest, upstanding member of the community that you can trust to represent the PEOPLE AND COMMUNITY OF LINCOLN HEIGHTS -- NOT THE MAYOR'S OFFICE AND HIS DEVELOPERS!
