Even though every elected official in town from Jamiel Shaw's Councilmember Herb Wesson, all the other Councilmembers (except Zine and Smith), Villaraigosa, Bratton and all the other powers that be that run the city want to dodge this whole little issue regarding Jamiel Shaw and the cry from the community to finally do something about illegals terrorizing the city -- a ZumaTimes.com consensus poll says that these politicians will no longer be able to keep playing the Hellen Keller routine (deaf, dumb and blind when it comes to the issue) now that Los Angeles County District Attorney Steve Cooley has come out publicly in support of Jamiel Shaw, Sr.'s activism role in the community over this issue.
See this blog (thread from yesterday) with Cooley's refreshing comments on KFI's John and Ken Show. And here are some added comments from the Doug McIntyre KABC morning show. (Add Kevin James' KRLA coverage and it's kinda hard to ignore at this point, and Zuma Dogg -- who spent 10 years as a market research guru in the radio biz -- says this issue is now top of mind in the city with people who matter...VOTERS!
STEVE COOLEY noted that the death of Jamiel Shaw may galvanize the community on this issue. And added, "Mr. Shaw is providing a great public service by speaking out and he shouldn't be stopped. Perhaps this case will galvanize the community and hopefully, reform will come out of it. It should be a discussion for every venue and every medium."
LAPD's DILLEMA: The police union would like to see the City Council Zine/Smith motion move forward to open up the debate and get the process moving. So why are they not doing more toward the goal of arresting the illegal alien, known offenders?
They don't feel like they have the green light to do their job, and obviously that is because Bratton is preventing this. And that is because Villaraigosa is preventing Bratton. (That little douchebag mayor is BRATTON'S boss, can you believe that? After the mayor is allegedly only elected due to voter fraud.)
BUT EVERYTHING THAT IS NEEDED TO ENFORCE THE WILL AND SPIRIT OF THE COMMUNITY IS CONTAINED IN SPECIAL ORDER 40.
BUT IT WILL ONLY HAPPEN WITH PUBLIC PRESSURE. ZUMA DOGG SAYS THE CLOCK IS NOW TICKING FOR WESSON, DOUCHARAIGOSA, BRATTON AND ALL THESE OTHERS WHO THINK MR. SHAW IS WEARING A HARRY POTTER CLOAK OF INVISIBILITY, CAUSE YOU DON'T SEEM TO SEE THE 800 LB GORILLA IN THE ROOM...
AND NOW THAT STEVE COOLEY HAS MADE THESE COMMENTS ON SUCH A PUBLIC FORUM...L.A. City Council better not blow this one. (Actually, I hope they DO blow it, cause that will be more fun to blast them on...and the one's who don't address the issue, will find themselves collecting unemployment come re-election.
