Zuma Dogg and Villaraigosa Discuss Special Order 40 at City Hall

After Matt Dowd discusses Venice Beach with the mayor, Zuma Dogg asks Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraiogsa, "Do you think it would be a good idea for some added transparency with the gang intervention programs to make sure we don't have continued problems like the one's that have been alleged -- whether they are true, or not."

Villaraiogsa told Zuma Times, "I always support transparency." Although he didn't look to happy giving an answer.

Zuma continued, "Do you think Bratton should do any revision or clarifications to Special Order 40, without having to do 'Jamiel's Law' or any motion, just within what is already there?

The mayor gave his mechanical, puppet answer: "I support Special Order 40." So Zuma probed, "As is?" Villaraigosa said, "Yes."

"But within S.O 40, some of the things that people are upset about can be achieved within it. That way you don't have to make changes -- and you might be able to mend some fences. (No pun intended.)

Finally, the mayor showed a little sign that change may be on the way, when he finally said, "I think he (Bratton) is going to clarify it."

So he and Bratton can say that for a little while longer, but it's nice to at least hear him say that. Because there are many people who feel that the goals trying to be achieved by Jamiel's Law, Zine's Council motion and the will of the people can be achieved with what is already written in Special Order 40. It's just a matter of the mayor telling Bratton to make the clarification, which would allow the cops to do their jobs, without fear of repercussions. (So this is more of a political issue than one of legal necessity.)

And now, Zuma Dogg presents Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa after a brief message by Matt Dowd on Shitty Attorney Mike Nagel.
