Zuma Dogg hears that Fourth of July Friday, was Fourth of July FIRING Friday at many of the big unions across the city. I heard 200 members were fired and some pretty big operations are scaling way back or shutting down.
IT’S GONNA GOT ROUGH OUT THERE, PEOPLE. ZD is learning as an activist, just like Detroit had the auto industry as it’s economic foundation; the city of Los Angeles has the jobs that union works creates as an industry in itself that keeps the city afloat.
But the city has sprung a leak. And again, I have to get back to U.S. President Barack Obama and his high hopes that the first half of the stimulus money sent directly to L.A. would have done the trick of jump-starting the creating of new jobs.
But again, ZD has heard this first round of stimulus money went to fill Villaraigosa’s budget gap at LAX, DWP, Port, Parks and Rec and elsewhere. So now, not only do you not have the NEW JOBS BEING CREATED AS OBAMA WAS HOPING, EXPECTING AND PLANNING FOR…
LOOKS LIKE THE UNEMPLOYMENT NUMBERS ARE GOING TO BE WAY UP.
AND LET IT SUFFICE TO SAY, THAT ZUMA DOGG’S EAR DRUMS HURT FROM HOW LOUD THE UNIONS ARE SCREAMING HOW PISSED THEY ARE AT VILLARAIGOSA FOR TAKING THE STIMULUS MONEY THEY WERE STANDING BY WITH THEIR SHOVELS AND TOOL BELTS WAITING TO GO TO WORK AND USING IT FOR SOMETHING ELSE.
And, to make matters even worse: FORGET ABOUT THE MAGIC SUBWAY TO THE SEA. IT’S ON HOLD FOR NOW AND THAT TRAIN AIN’T LEAVING THE STATION ANYTIME SOON. And for the Proposition money for transportation projects (Prop R, or J, if forget the letter),but I tell you what else you can forget…the money going to transportation projects. DON’T YOU KNOW BY NOW THAT ALL MONEY FLOWS INTO THE GENERAL FUND, ONE WAY OR THE OTHER?
WARNING: DO NOT LOOK INTO ZUMA DOGG MAGIC CRYSTAL BALL…AND DO NOT GET INTO HIS BACK TO THE FUTURE TIME MACHINE. It’s a really ugly movie scene. You have all of this density that Garcetti and the mayor said would be built around all this Prop J infrastructure and Subway to the Sea; and now it looks like it ain’t happening, just as the bottom has fallen out of the local job market; and the next shoe will be commercial real estate; and I think we are about to become a VERY different city than we are used to.
AND THE CITY STILL HAS NOT LEARNED AND IS STILL INVESTING PENSION MONEY BEHIND THE FEDS BACK INTO THESE CRA PROJECTS. WHAT IS WITH THESE “GENERAL SERVICES” PROJECTS? IS PENSION MONEY BEING USED FOR THOSE CRA PROJECTS?

He blew the pension money in bogus shit the money never should have been invested in, and they are STILL doing it; and Obama didn’t get his jobs he gave you the money for. And Schwarzenegger ain’t happy either, cause you had Obama bypass him, and give it straight to you, Antonio.
Laura Chick (who doesn’t care about Wendy Greuel any more than Zuma Dogg or anyone else with eyes and a brain would) is going to be very busy looking over the second half of the money. But Team Obama will be looking into the first half, and then pick up Zuma Dogg’s baton on the “pension scandal” noise he’s been hollerin’. Except Obama can do more than show up for Public Comment.
I really don’t think the mayor has anyone to go except Disneyland. But even Mickey Mouse is mad at him, so looks like he’s stuck in Legoland.
The city is burning, but Vacation-Villaraiogsa has it all under control.
Seriously, I really do feel bad it turned out this way. One reason so many people in his own CD 14 are so mad at him is because he actually used to be a good guy, but they say he changed the second Eli and Riordan slapped the Darth Vader helmet on his head.
And now, Eli and Riordan can’t yank it off his head; even though they are both done with him. I’m no fan of the mayor, but I’ve never called him a “parasite,” Richard.
Boy, I’m really glad I wasn’t an activist when Villaraigosa was running the first time. I probably would have felt Hahn was shady over pay-to-play allegations; Antonio would have been smooth enough to be nice to me; and he probably had really good food at his campaign events, so I probably would have endorsed him. DON’T LAUGH!!! MOST OF YOU WHO WISH YOU NEVER KNEW HIS NAME SUPPORTED HIM FIRST TIME. (LOL!)
Anyway, Eric Garcetti…I think we’ll be piling on Wendy in the mayoral election a lot sooner than four years from now.
