Villaraigosa Better Stop Impeding, Interfering, Aiding and Abetting Non-Compliant Illegal Behavior

ZUMA DOGG HAD A GREAT TIME AT VALLEY GLENN CITY COUNCIL CANDIDATE FORUM: Another big crowd for the City Council forum. Over 200 people. A lot of people who know ZD from TV really liked the clean shave/suit/Dave version with the more relaxed delivery. My usual activist friends thought I struck the right tone and was better than the previous forum in Sunland-Tujunga (of course I am going to be more comfortable after the first one). But the part that was most encouraging, to me, were a bunch of seniors who reached out for a flier as they filed out the auditorium. It was the people who didn't know Zuma Dogg, at all, and just showed up to see the 10 candidates that I won over the hard way...from scratch that I loved the most. MONEY AND BULLSHIT DOESN'T HELP IN A SITUATION LIKE A FORUM. Hopefully, I'll improve even more at the Sherman Oaks forum, but it's gonna get harder and harder to distance myself as the other candidates know what I am going to say and can copy what I said previously, if they get to answer first.

THOUGHTS: If someone who works at City Hall is dating a former powerful department head to advance her career, I wonder if she is going to stick with him now that he can no longer do so. The main thing I am trying to say here is that you would be surprised who some people date. (Haven't you heard about city company ink?)

LA CITY COUNCIL PLANNING DEPUTIES...THE REAL POWER MONEY POSITION: Based on certain people's lifestyle, I'm starting to think it's the planning deputies of the CMs who have the most power and actually get the real bribes. The CMs don't know what's going on and leave it to the planning deputies and therefore they have real influence.

Dale Thrush was an attorney from a powerful lawfirm and gave up $500,000 million a year job to take care of his clients as Planning Deputy. I bet La Bong's Planning Deputy ain't doing too bad, either based on the digs.

Now, maybe Zuma Dogg isn't so happy about a measly $180,000 salary as Councilmember. Maybe I should throw support to another candidate in exchange for the BIG MONEY PAY DAY POSITION: LA CITY COUNCIL PLANNING DEPUTY.

ZUMA DOGG SAY THIS IS HUGE!!! Ties to Villaraigosa and how for some reason he doesn't collect money the city is owed, whether it be Clear Channel billboard taxes (they dont' pay any?) and stuff like this. Zuma Dogg is starting to think the city could close it's budget gap if Villaraiogsa wasn't trying to drain the city dry and allow the people who pay him off to run roughshot over taxpayers. (VILLARAIGOSA IS GOING DOWN! IT'S OVER AND HE KNOWS IT!)

Parking Firm Convicted of 295 Criminal Counts

Owner of Downtown-Based Business Faces 150-year Prison Term

DOWNTOWN LOS ANGELES - In what is being called one of the largest criminal tax fraud cases handled by the City Attorney’s office, Downtown-based parking lot owner Sohrab Sahab is facing a 150-year prison sentence following his Aug. 4 conviction on 295 criminal counts for pocketing an estimated $400,000 in taxes owed to the city.

Sahab, 47, the owner of Downtown-based Prestige Parking, is scheduled to be sentenced Aug. 14 by Superior Court Judge Edmund Clarke. The firm operates 29 lots throughout the city.

Sahab was convicted of 149 counts of failing to file parking occupancy tax report forms, 135 counts of failing to remit parking occupancy taxes to the city, and 11 counts of operating parking lots without a permit.

“He’s hanging on to money he collected from the community,” said Richard Kraft, supervising attorney of the City Attorney’s Special Trials Unit. “He collected taxes from other people and is holding them in trust when he was supposed to remit them.
