Did Tamar Galatzan LIE To Sherman Oaks Homeowners Associtation During Debate Questioning?

LA WEEKLY MENTIONS "ZUMA DOGG" IN THEIR POLITICAL COVERAGE: This isn't the first time I have slammed a Villaraigosa-backed candidate (Tamar Galatzan who was backed by $2 million of Villarigosa's dollars to win the LAUSD board seat that she used to raise money and support for her CD 2 City Council election, this Tuesday).

PREVIOUSLY, Zuma Dogg complained about the Villaraigosa-backed Assemblymember John Perez (the mayor's cousin). THANKS TO LA WEEKLY FOR NOTICING MY ACTI-BLOGGING!

LA WEEKLY said, "Perez’s election was widely criticized by city activists, including the outspoken Zuma Dogg, who blogged: 'Antonio’s anointed candidate, who will be your new Assembly member pulling the levers for his cousin Antonio, is John Perez.'

Perez was a lead spokesman for the disastrous “Yes on 1A-1E” ballot-measure campaign that would have dramatically raised California taxes, paid down the deficit and propped up school funding. The package of measures lost by a landslide." (full story)

So I was right about THAT nightmare, too.

But now, on to the CURRENT election nightmare:

DID TAMAR GALATZAN LIE TO SHERMAN OAKS CROWD?: During the CD 2 City Council Candidate Forum held by Sherman Oaks Homeowners Association, did LAUSD School Board Member and Current City Council Candidate Tamar Galatzan LIE to the crowd tonight when asked about her use of LAUSD campaign money during this campaign cycle.

During the forum, each candidate was allowed to ask a question of any of the other candidates.

Zuma Dogg asked Tamar Galatzan, "As someone who does not like the idea of running for one office just to raise money and support for another office, did you transfer LAUSD campaign money into your officeholder account...

Richard Close (Tamar Galatzan endorser) who was moderating the event cut Zuma Dogg off at that point and Tamar said, "No."

Although Dick tried to cut me off, I tried to squeeze in the rest of the question, "Did you take money raised for your LAUSD campaign (including one SINGLE donation from an Ari Swiller friend and associate in the amount of $100,000), transfer it into your office holder account...AND USE IT FOR MAILERS YOU JUST SENT OUT DURING YOUR CITY COUNCIL CANDIDACY?

TAMAR SAID BEFORE THE CAMERA AND CROWD, "NO" SHE DID NOT TRANSFER MONEY FROM HER LAUSD CAMPAIGN INTO HER OFFICE HOLDER ACCOUNT (that could be used for staff, kids, programs, ANYTHING) AND USE IT FOR FLIERS.

Hope it is not shown to be the CASE, otherwise. But Zuma Dogg wasn't told to ask her that question and get her "on the record" for no reason. Maybe you should take a ride up the City Hall elevator to the 27th floor and check the ethics records. They don't lie. Unlike your typical elected official running for office.

TELL EVERYONE TO VOTE IN THE ELECTION THIS TUESDAY: The time is finally here, that we don't need to mention the date anymore. Just tell everyone you know, there is an election this Tuesday for City Council member in CD 2 and to please vote -- and make sure to tell them ZUMA DOGG is on the ballot. The election is under attack from slick elected officials who will say anything and lie to your face during an election. Meanwhile, they couldn't do what I just did over these past three years with ALL their money. FIRST, you have to figure it out...THEN you have to be willing to stand up and DO something when it DOESN'T count in an election. SO LET'S SEE TAMAR'S "NO ON B" position since she said she was "NO" on B at the forum.

UPDATE: ETHIC COMMISSION REPORT ON MORE OF TAMAR GALATZAN'S INFAMOUS INDEPENDENT EXPENDITURES:

The CEC received the following Non-Candidate Spending Notifications yesterday:
1) L.A. Airport Peace Officers Association PAC -- for a mailer supporting Tamar Galatzan for Council District 2 for a total of $5,000.

2) from Committed to the Valley's Future - Committee to Support Tamar Galatzan for City Council 2009 -- for a flyer supporting Tamar Galatzan for a total of $1,278.51. (Is the big committee just Mort Allen?)

SO YOU CAN COME UP WITH ALL THE RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDING $500 LIMITS AND HOW CAMPAIGN MONEY IS USED..BUT WHO CARES WHEN YOU PULL ALL THE "OUTSIDE" STUFF THAT ETHICS FELT WAS WORTH SENDING OUT A "SHADY ALERT" OVER.

(But she is so adorable and says everything you want to hear during an election, even if she has to lie a little bit along the way about certain things. But nothing you shouldn't just overlook.)
