LAUSD Can't Find $400 Million In Computers and Software -- Classrooms remain outdated

Although LAUSD is still not ready to admit that they "lost" $400 in computers and software for classrooms, they are willing to admit that they can't seem to find them. And the only thing they are sure of, is that they don't know how to find them.

LA Daily News reports: Up to $400 million has been spent on new computers and software for classrooms, but the Los Angeles Unified School District has not tracked where all of the new technology has gone, officials said Monday.

Since 2004, the district has purchased 129,000 personal computers. But because of haphazard tracking, some classrooms still do not have enough computers for students, while others have computers but not enough software. Meanwhile, some school computers still are operating with outdated systems.

Welp, too late to install tracking systems, now, for this $400 millions' worth of stuff -- but go get 'em Monica and start installing those tracking systems for the next $400 million.

And I guess we can all just take inventory at the classroom level, and see what's left of the "misplaced" $400 million, and I'm sure it will all add up to $400 million, with very little shrinkage if any.

Let's bring in an expert, Antonio's gal (he paid a million bucks to get her on the LAUSD school board -- and shoe-in for Wendy Greuel's CM Chair (if things like this don't thwart any chances before they can happen), Tamar Galatzan (the first lady of VICA).

Tamar says, "Once we figure out what's out there, then we can know how to fill the gaps," said school board member Tamar Galatzan, who will introduce the resolution today. "We have software in one place and computers in another." (And you have your brain in one place, and your head in another.)

Well, I, for one, feel as though it sounds like everything is under control, and you can trust the fine folks running the board at LAUSD.

UM, EXCUSE ME...IS THERE A SHRED OF FUCKING ACCOUNTABILITY ON THAT LAUSD SCHOOL BOARD OR IS IT BEING RUN BY BONNIE AND CLYDE? I WONDER WHERE THOSE COMPUTERS REALLY ARE? (Hint: If you look in any of the LAUSD properties, you are getting colder!)

AND NOW YOU GOTTA SPEND ANOTHER $400 MILLION TO REPLACE THE FIRST SHIPMENT THAT YOU THREW THE HARRY POTTER "INVISIBILITY CLOAK" OVER.

IT'S BECAUSE OF PEOPLE LIKE THE ONES RUNNING LAUSD THAT WE ARE ROBBING OUR NATION OF A FUTURE AS OVERSEA NATIONS CONTINUE TO OUT-EDUCATE KIDS AND ARE PRODUCING MORE OF THE HIGH QUALITY SCIENCE GRADUATES.
