LAUSD: Out of all the schools in the LAUSD system, for some reason the principal at Mt. Gleason sure knows how to piss off the community and make ZD's phone ring on Sunday. (Previous Story)
Here are some new problems. Actually, old problems just brought to my attention: Last year Mt. Gleason changed their phone number, but despite complaints from parents who were unable to contact the school during emergencies, they refuse to list the number in directory assistance. But that's only the tip of the iceberg. And quite a chill the Principal gives parents. Plus, some of the parents aren't real happy that boys are being forced to use the girls bathrooms. THAT'S RIGHT...parents claim that during the after school programs it's unisex bathrooms at Mt. Gleason. To be honest...I can't believe this. But I am told it is indeed the case. What's the principal's relationship with the union rep?
See here's the thing: The Zuma Dogg has heard that the principal is very, very -- very good friends with the teacher union representive. (I mean, like taking camping trips together friends.) Now there's nothing wrong with friends taking camping trips together, but it doesn't ring a good chord with frustrated teachers who feel they are being thrown under the bus and harrased at the doing of their own union rep who may be trying to protect her camping pal and close friend, the principal. (The teachers are not real happy with this new principal who happened to have been popped into the position around the same time VillarGarcia took over the school board. Hey Monica...what's your realtionship with Debbie Acosta? You should look into how Mt. Gleason is doing under her watch. A lot they are trying to keep quiet, if you ask me. Irma Good was way too heavy with her, "All is well and nothing to see here" speech when she tried to spin me on the phone. Almost workerd...but ten million Elvis fans can't be wrong.
