CM Dennis Zine was on the radio today saying that he was going to introduce a motion (along the lines of Jamiel's Law) whereas if a known gang member (with previous gang arrest history) is arrested (even if the arrest is for being under suspicion...any arrest at all; then LAPD can put an ICE hold the individual while they run a check for any immigration violations.
Dennis Zine will be on Kevin James tonight in the 9pm hour (around 9:30pm), so I'm sure he'll be talking about this if I heard this correctly. (CLICK HERE FOR LIVE FEED OF INTERVIEW!)
Sounds like CM Zine may be throwing down something even harsher than Jamiel's Law. He'll have Reyes and alarCON begging to enact Jamiel's Law after this. (Richard Alarcon now has some SERIOUS political baggage. He was the smooth one who went unscathed. But his hot headed temper (because he is forced to argue a point that he knows is bullshit, because some folk have their hook in pretty deep)...and now his political image is very scathed. (It all happens pretty quickly Richard, baby! Maybe the people who are pulling your strings to say such dumb shit will give you a job in the private sector.
Enjoy finishing up your term, however long or short. You will never win office again. Especially since the plug has officially been pulled on Villaraigosa by the big money.
