LA City Approves Ordinance Approving New Twenty Five Cent Tax on Plastic Shopping Bags

Oh no...this new tax targets lower income families who traditionally have larger families. Los Angeles City Council approved a new tax on Friday that will cost people .25 cents per single-use plastic shopping bag (like the ones at your grocery store and all retail stores) in an attempt to make people switch to paper so we can cut down more trees.
