Huizar in Dubai March 30-31
Looks like LA City Councilmember Jose Huizar was at a some kind of global city planning event in Dubai by Marcus Evans. Here's what "Money Week" says about Mr. Evans:Evans, believed to be 43, enjoys teasing his pursuers, says The Independent. His events firm, which specialises in arms and military conferencing, has a quote from Aristotle on its website: “All men by nature desire to know.”
Any information “to help us judge his fitness to own newspapers would be most welcome”, but Evans has been a tax exile for more than a decade. Companies House lists 15 firms, all registered in Bermuda.
(Sounds like a swell guy and looks like a perfect match for Villarizar.)

Zuma Dogg wonders who paid for the trip? (Let me guess, the taxpayers of Los Angeles...because all the answers to the problems the City faces, lies in Dubai.
But seriously, here's how Huizar ends up being treated to the trip of a lifetime, while council is in session, most likely on City money: The city is run by corrupt, racketeering criminals. No, just kidding (sort of). Here's why, really: The Mayor couldn't go because he is busy campaigning for Hillary Clinton's losing endeavor and is filling pot holes in between. So he couldn't get busted leaving for Dubai. But the City needs some more of that Dubai, United Arab Emirates money. They already invested in a joint venture with the City of Los Angeles, Related Co., the CRA and Board of County Supervisors at the Grand Avenue Project mega-boondoggle.
And with the city's financial crisis, bond crisis, credit crisis, housing crisis, and all the other crisis...someone had to hustle over to Dubai to beg them to bail out the City and buy up all these housing units that are sinking in value by the second.
And since there is no liquidity, and even Eli Broad couldn't get a five dollar loan till Friday with the banks, these days...Hey Oil Sheik, can you spare a dime (or a billion) for my Broadway Corridor project, all these housing units and some other great ideas we have that requires massive expenditures in order for us to make enough skimming off the top with front-end loaded contracts.
They have the front-end loaded, money funneling machine all lined up and ready to go. There just isn't any money (liquidity/investors) around to siphon off...so better send the heir to Antonio's thrown (Aka: Antonio's lap dog, hoping he doesn't end up in trouble, before he moves up the ladder) Jose Huizar.
So if you have been trying to reach your councilmember, his cell phone has been out of the calling area.
