Mr. Weiss, Council Member and Public Safety Committee Chair:
It has been almost 5 months since Jamiel Shaw II was shot and killed on March 2nd.
You have the Zine motion in committee and have not acted on it for nearly as long.
If anyone else is victimized by all this foot-dragging before it gets to the Council
floor, you might as well refund all your City Attorney campaign contributions because
only your friends will vote for you and that should be done for free anyway.
You already see the tragedy and shame presented by the San Francisco's triple murder.
City attorney hopefuls don't project a good image holding back something that could
make them SAFER. And just think what public opinion might be if the next victim is a
cop. Ironically, Antonio's woes would almost look small compared to yours in the
public opinion polls should that eventuality occur..
It's just my opinion, but if there is any causal connection with any loss of life that
occurs while this motions JUST SITS, you might find comfort in being able to share a
lot of blame with most of the rest of the Council members doing nothing on this.
