They say she drifted from her man Antonio, but with LaBong's endorsement looks like SHE'S BACK in Villaraigosa's good graces BECAUSE DO YOU THINK LABONG WOULD CROSS THE MAYOR?]THE TROUBLE WITH TAMAR: There are a lot of things, including her comment that she, "is still a stong supporter of Jack Weiss" but the most recent "trouble" with "Go Along" Galatzan is her endorsement by L.A. Shadycouncilmember Tom "Tell Me What High School You Went To And I Will Tell You The Mascot" LaBong. You may have heard of the big, gigantic Universal high-density project in that open area by Universal City. It's County territory but has city implications and tie-ins with City Hall. Villaraiogsa HAS to make that project happen and the project is mixed in with Tom LaBong's District 4 area, so he's involved, too. SO NOW, you have Tom LaBong endorsing Tamar "Goes Along" Galatzan. The significance is that Tom's area bumps up right against CD2 in Studio City and I am told Lisa Sarkin and the Studio City community HATES the project for all the infrastructure and traffic nightmares it will punish the area with. SO HERE COMES TOM TO OFFER SUPPORT TO GALATZAN'S FLEDGLING CAMPAIGN AS SHE HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO RAISE MONEY TO BECOME COMPETITVE AGAINST CHRIS "I LIVED IN THE VALLEY BEFORE I DEFECTED TO SUNSET-DOHENY AREA" ESSEL AND PAUL "KRACKWHORIAN" KREKORIAN (Sorry Paul, the monikor is just too catchy to resist).
So although "Trouble" Tamar has proclaimed she will not take any money from developers in her district...THE UNIVERSAL PROJECT IS NOT IN HER DISTRICT BUT TOM LABONG NEEDS HER IN HIS POCKET; SO I WOULD EXPECT TO SEE TOM PRESS THE BUTTON FOR TAMAR AND SEE AN OUTPOURING OF SHADY DEVELOPER MONEY ROLL IN TO "GO ALONG" GALATZAN WHO IS DOING JUST THAT.
So you have Chris Essel with the most money from the people you hate most. Essel is endorsed by Wendy Greuel and I mention that as a negative, in case you were wondering. If you are endorsed by Wendy that means you are the City Hall insider #1 and you must remember Chris sat as the original chair of the CRA and Wendy Greuel worked with Henry Cisneros when he was working for HUD under Clinton and if you do a Google search you will discover Little Miss Wendy probably did more to create the subprime crisis than almost anyone in the world. More on THAT later. And when I think of the CRA and HUD I think of a lot of negative, bad stuff. And Wendy has a lot of business that still needs to be "taken care of" and "make happen." So Chris will make sure Wendy keeps her anti-community spirit, pro-developer agenda continues to punish and drive away any remaining middle class workers in the area.
You have Paul Krekorian who drove out State into financial crisis emergency as State ASSemblymember with a LOUSY voting record and never did anything but go along with the machine and now he wants to walk away from the mess he just promised to fix for a better gig. AND PAUL IS ACTUALLY THE CITY HALL INSIDE FAVORITE THAT VILLARIAIGOSA HOPES WINS MOST. Paul Koretz endorses Krekorian and I wouldn't be mentioning that if I though that was a plus in the community. Sure, Chris came out with the most money. but she's "Empty Vessel" Essel and they couldn't care less if she tanks and Paul Krackwhorian wins. City Hall/Villaraigosa really doesn't care about Chris, BUT...BUT...BUT, now they need to scratch and claw to even make sure she makes it into the run-off because her campaign is not getting any traction, and she's getting hammered almost as hard as Jack Weiss, out there.
SO THEN, some folks thought, "Well, at least Tamar isn't as bad as Paul and Chris because she's more indepedent." DOESN'T LOOK THAT WAY TO ME. SHE'S ALREADY ENDORSED BY THE COUNCILMEMBER (LABONG) WITH THE UNIVERSAL PROJECT BUMPING AGAINST THE CD 2 DISTRICT AND ALTHOUGH "GOES ALONG" GALATZAN SAYS SHE WON'T TAKE MONEY FROM DEVELOPERS WITH PROJECTS IN HER DISTRICT, THAT LEAVES HER ABLE TO OPEN WIDE "SHOW HER THE MONEY" FROM THE PEOPLE WITH PROJECTS THE COMMUNITY IS FIGHTING.
SO YOU HAVE THREE CANDIDATES (ESSEL, KREKORIAN & GALATZAN) WITH STRONG TIES TO CITY HALL ALREADY FOR ALL THE WRONG REASONS.
