City Attorney's Office BLOWS Settlement Opportunity with DOWD/DOGG...GOING TO THE FEDERAL JUDGE FOR SUMMARY JUDGEMENT

On October 21, 2010, a Federal Judge ruled in Dowd/Dogg's favor on the Venice Beach lawsuit. The next week Dowd/Dogg had a "meet and confer" conference with the City Attorney's office, where two people took notes as we explained our damages information -- also presented the document with all the information (regarding economic damages and whatnot.)

And Dowd/Dogg thought we were VERY CLOSE to at least hearing a settlement amount from the City Attorney's office. BUT, I guess THAT ain't gonna happen, cause the City Attorney's office is asking for the economic information again, since they can't seem to find it. (OH REALLY??? WHAT HAPPENED FOR THE PAST THREE MONTHS???)

So just when we were expecting to hear an amount...you want to start from the top. HELL NAW!

DOWD/DOGG ARE NOT GOING TO RESUBMIT THE PAPERWORK, BUT GO STRAIGHT TO JUDGE PREGERSON FOR SUMMARY JUDGMENT.

(If you lost the paperwork and lost time...just make up a number. You KNOW what it is, anyway. Because you know the minimum we will accept...AND:

I CAN ASSURE THE CITY OF LOS ANGELES...

AFTER THE WAY YOU CONTINUE TO MANGLE THIS WHOLE THING...

YOU WANT TO SETTLE THIS MATTER AT THIS POINT...MUCH MORE THAN WE DO. A LOT has changed since October. There has been MUCH MORE to come out since then. And the city has STEPPED in more bullshit...and wasn't as correct as they thought they were.

BUT YOU WANT TO START OVER?

TIME IS UP!

RE-SUBMITTING REJECTED. Handle it however you want. You lost the shit. Tell it to the judge. Otherwise, write the damn check. You're just trying to drag this out.

San Pedro Blogger Ponders on Who To Vote For In Los Angeles

Excerpt from "San Pedro Issues To Ponder" Blog:

Now pondering on who should be the Mayor of Los Angeles, I have been
battling my own thoughts and the thoughts of others.

Antonio Villaraigosa spends about 11% of his 'work' day on city business. This has been written about and is backed by public information and records.

I think the current Mayor of Los Angeles is the only person in L. A.
Government who is more into photo opportunities that a certain very local Councilperson.

I haven't been able to find anything real or important that Tony Villar has accomplished with the exception of promoting more taxes for you and me.

The list of candidates is not all that long. It seems nobody is willing to give any of the other candidates any real chance at sending Tony packing and seeking another cozy job.

There is Walter Moore, but I think he is ignorant of the issues in OUR
community and he is not written about very well, by others.

And then there is David Saltsburg. You may not know that name but you
probably know him by the name he uses, Zuma Dogg: zumatimes.com

For the office of Mayor of the city of Los Angeles, I don't think you could do any better than electing Zuma Dogg for that office.

It would be better than allowing Tony Villar (Antonio Villaraigosa) a second term.

Los Angeles has the City Council that makes the laws and (sort of) runs the city. The office of Mayor has become completely ceremonial because of Tony's inaction's, photo ops, glad-handing, and attempts to gain higher attention in the national media.

Zuma Dogg doesn't pull any punches when he tells you what he thinks
and he carries around a video camera to make sure you see him in action.

Now I do not believe Zuma should be without medication for long periods of time, but that is probably true for Tony as well.

Zuma would bring more national spotlights onto L. A. and laughter counts in some of the spotlights.

L. A. needs all the attention it can get right now. We do not have any rivers where a large plane can land safely and we don't have a Wall Street crumbling down.

The election of Zuma Dogg might create so much discussion that something actually gets done in the city.

I don't think that Zuma Dogg could do any more damage than Tony has
done. Zuma seems to look out for the less fortunate and people who don't necessarily donate to his election campaign.

So in closing,

Zuma Dogg for Mayor

Noel Weiss for City Attorney

MORE Bad Publicity For Villaraigosa/Garcetti's MEASURE B (Solar Energy BONDoggle) by LA TIMES (And They Are Supposed to SUPPORT VIAGRAOSA!)

Council gets 'secret' solar panel report
The analysis, given earlier to some officials, warns that the DWP underestimated the costs of Measure B.

By David Zahniser
December 20, 2008

One day after The Times revealed that Los Angeles officials had secretly received a report warning that a solar power plan on the March 3 ballot was "extremely risky," the official who secured the analysis delivered it to the City Council.

In envelopes stamped "confidential," Chief Legislative Analyst Gerry Miller, the council's top policy advisor, distributed a copy of a Nov. 4 memo he wrote to Council President Eric Garcetti listing 13 warnings about the solar plan.

The measure, which calls for putting solar panels on rooftops and parking lots across the city, had been strongly supported by Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa.

Foes of the proposal, known as Measure B, have criticized Miller and Garcetti for not making the analysis public. Both men countered that the information was informal and, in some cases, inaccurate. (HOW DOES GARSHADY KNOW IT WAS INACCURATE? AND WHO LEFT IT UP TO HIM TO BE THE SOLE JUDGE? WHO DOES THIS GUY THINK HE IS? BOY, ERIC SURE LIKES TO SILENCE THINGS...MORE THAN YOU KNOW. BUT THAT'S WHAT MONEY IS FOR!)

Nine council members said Friday that they did not receive the Nov. 4 analysis before they agreed to put the solar measure on the ballot. The analysis, issued three days before the vote, warned that the Department of Water and Power had underestimated the cost of the program, lacked the ability to carry it out and could saddle ratepayers with higher electricity bills.

"I really wish that I would have had the information," said Councilman Herb Wesson. "Now I'm not suggesting that it would have changed my support, or my level of support, but an extra question or two may have popped in my mind." [WHAT KIND OF B.S. REPLY IS THAT, HERB? DON'T FEEL TOO GOOD ABOUT A COUNCIL MEMBER (ESPECIALLY ONE WITH YOUR VOTING RECORD AND PERFORMANCE AS HOUSING CHAIR) THAT SAYS THEY ARE NOT SUGGESTING THEY WOULD HAVE CHANGED THEIR SUPPORT AFTER READING THE REPORT! I BET EVERYONE IN YOUR DISTRICT SURE AS HELL HOPES YOU WOULD CHANGE YOUR SUPPORT AFTER READING SOMETHING LIKE THAT!

Why don't you go evict some elderly women out of some project you converted in violation of the Charter, Herb? You're some swell guy! You've done so much good as Housing Chair. A real champion! Now don't lose your temper, Herb, but would now be a good time to suggest you change your support after reading the report? (I'm almost starting to believe you are just some cold, heartless, politican who doesn't give a fuck about a gosh damn thing. It sure seems that way based on your jibber-jabber double-talk, as Housing Chair and Councilmember, Herb Wesson. And you know what...Zuma Dogg has had enough. See you in January!

You are charming and charasmatic as hell, in person, Councilmember Wesson.

But when I think about what you have done in Committee and Chambers, it makes me sick to my stomach. I think Herb Wesson is an evil, evil man in all reality. Just look around. But he is adorable as hell! (Like his Assembly pals Fabian Nunez and Antonio Villaragiosa. Herb will tell you what a great guy Nunez is, and how he came up through politics with those two. SO HOW GOOD CAN HERB BE?)

YOU BETTER GET WITH A REAL FUCKING HOUSING PROGRAM HERB! I AM NOT GOING TO REMAIN SILENT AT PUBLIC COMMENT OVER THIS SHIT ANYMORE! WE'RE TALKING "FRONT BURNER" LIKE THE DAYS WHEN ZUMA DOGG WAS BLASTING ABOUT CONDO-CONVERSIONS IN VIOLATION OF VACANCY RATES!!! HOW DID THAT GO FOR YOU, HERB?

MY NEW YEARS RESLOUTION IS TO KEEP YOU HONEST, HERB. NONE OF THIS DOUBLE-TALK, DO NOTHING, THEN STAB EM IN THE BACK HARD BULLSHIT! CAPISHE! YOU FUCKED UP THE WHOLE CITY WITH YOUR PAL ANTONIO! WE'RE GONNA PULL THE PLUG ON YOUR HERB! YOU ARE OVER IN MY BOOK.

READ MORE ABOUT HOW VILLARAIGOSA CONTINUES TO PUSH AROUND THOSE PUPPET-CLOWN COUNCIL MEMBERS INTO MORE STUFF LIKE THIS AND THINK THEY CAN GET AWAY WITH IT.

I think Villarigosa is going to end up being run out of town and forced to quickly hops on a plane to Dubai outta here.
