VIDEO: Zuma Dogg Sings "Bennie & The Jets" (Friday Night Karaoke Preview)

If you could have seen MC Zuma Dogg this morning at 5:00 AM, it was like a cliff-hanger at the end of the Batman TV show: (Announcer Voice:) Wiiiiiiiiill Zuma Dogg make it to the City Council meeting from Malibu, CA to put the NC election racketeering violations on the public record?"

Didn't look like it, even at around 9:00 am this morning. But thanks to some good spirits that have been lookin' out for me this week...ZD was miraculously able to make it over to the "Zuma Auxiliary Chamber" (located inside Van Nuys City Hall) in time for public comment! (HA!)

But there is no council meeting tomorrow, so Zuma Dogg will be switching into "karaoke mode" tonight at his hometown karaoke spot. If you would like to come out and witness the superstar spectacle that IS the legendary "Zuma Dogg", call my cell at 213-785-7272 and I'll give you directions.

But after you watch that, here are some things to put you back in a cranky mood:

MAYOR WANTS CITY LOGO ON SCHOOL UNIFORMS: I didn't have a chance to actually read the agenda item yet, because the City Clerk's office failed to put the "special agendas" in Council Chambers in Van Nuys, but I heard Item 10 is about having Mayor Douchetonio put the City of L.A. logo on school uniforms in his school cluster (f*ck) that he is running. (See racketeering/rico violation/city charter violation.)

Now, I know the mayor ain't too bright, and his staff ain't too sharp and let's all kinds of things slip through under their watch (like AB 212)...but someone tell the mayor that LAUSD is a State agency separate from your little Ricofest you call the City of Los Angeles. AND LET IT BE KNOWN THAT THE MAYOR'S TAKEOVER OF AN LAUSD SCHOOL CLUSTER IS IN VIOLATION OF THE CITY CHARTER. So why would you put a City logo on an LAUSD school uniform?

HEY DOUCHETONIO...HOW ABOUT AN LAUSD LOGO ON AN LAUSD UNIFORM??? (Or I have a BETTER idea, how about a picture of Antonio on every school uniform!?!?)

COUNCILMEMBER TONY CARDENAS HOLDS SEPARATE MEETING IN HIS FIELD OFFICE DURING COUNCIL MEETING: For those of you who didn't show up in Van Nuys on Tuesday for the Council meeting. CM Tony Cardenas (CITY HALL IS IN HIS DISTRICT) walks into Chambers, his name appears on the quorum call and he walks out of Chambers.

Late into the meeting, someone tells me he hasn't returned all meeting, in which he is voting "yes" on everything -- even though he is not in the room. (There is a conference room/adjacent room that CMs may be in, so he could have been in there, even though it wouldn't have been appropriate to be in there for the entire meeting.)

I walk down the hall to Cardenas' Field Office that is also on the floor. The receptionist tells me (on the ZumaCam) that Cardenas is in back having a meeting. (And he points to the back of the Field Office.)

I make a note with Council President Garcetti (no fan of "ethics") and he tells me Mr. Cardenas is in the adjacent room. I tell Eric he isn't. But the shady CM (Garcetti) tells me that he IS in the adjacent room.

Cut to the end of the Council meeting and everyone is leaving. Well here comes Councilmember Cardenas walking out of his field office -- NOT THE ADJACENT ROOM.

SO CARDENAS WAS NOT PART OF THE QUORUM. (The next day, Garcetti told me, "CM Cardenas told me he was in the adjacent room.") So obviously, if he WAS allowed to be in the field office at the time, the answer from Garshady would have been, "He's allowed to hold his own separate meeting in his Field Office for the course of the entire meeting." BUT YOU SAID, "HE WAS IN THE ADJACENT ROOM!" AND HE WAS NOT, MR. GARCETTI! And the ZumaCam has it captured for the record. Including the part when his staffers catch Cardenas as he is walking towards me; and they spin him around and back into the office.

HERE'S THE PROBLEM: (Besides Cardenas dodging the entire Council meeting in his hometown Van Nuys City Hall. HOW'S THAT FOR DISRESPECTING THE COMMUNITY? They come to speak to the CM, he's in his office having his own separate meeting.)

O.K., HERE'S THE PROBLEM: CM Alarcon had to recuse himself for a vote where his daughter was being re-appointed for one of those commission positions. (You know the ones that people complain are handed out as "crony" patronage appointments.) So if Cardenas was in his office (HE WAS), Alarcon recusing (sic) himself dropped the CM count to 9. (Cardenas would have been 10, but he wasn't there.)

So looks like someone wasn't lawfully re-appointed; and who knows what ordinances were not really passed. (Once you lose a quorum, you have to call the roll again, which they didn't.)

RED SPOT & ZUMA DOGG WILL BE TEAMING UP TO HELP PUT AN END TO THE RICO VIOLATION THAT IS THE LOS ANGELES NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL SYSTEM. THEY DONE F*CKED UP, THIS TIME! WE GOT IT! CITY CLERK AND BONG WATER KIM BETTER GET THEIR SH*T CORRECT...OOPS, TOO LATE! ($$$)
