Zuma Dogg Comedy Rant on CD2 City Council Election - PAUL KREKORIAN MUST BE REJECTED!

If you can make it past the introduction sandwich eating and story about Scott Shannon, the new voice of 95.5 KLOS, you can eavesdrop on a nice comedy rant about the CD2 City Council special election. Bottom line: Reject Sacramento seat-jumping, State-bankrupting, phony politicians...SAY NOT TO SACRAMENTO SEAT JUMPERS...SAY NOT TO PAUL KREKORIAN.

New ZumaShow on BlogTalkRadio: Zuma Saturday Night LIVE Update

QUOTE: "Aw yeah!!! Wendy Greuel & Chris Essel...like the Doublemint Gum, Double Your Pleasure Twins! Love 'em in the campain fliers!"

Zuma also declares, "I will leave the State of California if Paul Krekorian is elected, even though I just got on food stamps."

More hilarious comedy as ZD gets nuttier as the show goes on with his Michael Jackson accapella street show...

Then hammers Jose "Sleezy Weezy" Huizar on his DUMMY-TALK on Medical Marijuana.

Overall, a balanced show of fun, seriousness and nuttiness. What more can you aks for?

KNBC Was Asked By Trutanich's City Attorney Office To Participate In AEG/Jackson Memorial Event Investigation (They Declined, Unless Subpoenaed)

NBC was asked to participate in the Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich's City Attorney Office investigation into AEG's Michael Jackson Memorial Event at Staples Center and it indicates the direction of the "criminal elements" could be going.

NBC was asked how much they paid for access to have their media crew on the risers at Staples Center for the Jackson event. It is illegal to charge for risers on city sidewalks and streets that AEG was selling access for.

KNBC was asked to participate in the investigation, but declined to do so without subpoenas, and no subpoenas have been served. So as I referred to in the previous article. Maybe Nuch knows what went down, but it won't be so easy to put the case together, cause you'd have to subpoena people like NBC and it would create a lot of bad will having the city drag everyone into this.

So sounds like AEG used city property to sell media rights to the Michael Jackson memorial event. So Nuch is trying to have them pay up, before he has to take it to court. And Tim Lewekie is calling it "near extortion" as it may be perceived to be. But that favorable public perception can change and turn HARD on your Mr. T., if you were pimpin' the city streets. OH MAN, will that unleash the Zuma Dogg on your ass!!! NUCH, let me know!!!

And I think Nuch's frustration may be that the mayor was out of town at the time, so Tim probably called the mayor; or maybe the mayor didn't even know and Tim just called Bratton and Perry who put it all in motion and Nuch IS saying the entire event may have cost $6 million when you add it all up. And if that's the situation, looks like that's a separate issue, because how the hell could you spend $6 million? ($80,000 for sandwiches outside the county is part of it.)

LA TIMES: AEG president says Trutanich tried to 'bully' company on Jackson costs (But AEG May Have Been Running Illegal Operation On City Streets)

Here's an excerpt from LA Times about Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich and AEG LIVE/Tim Leiweke.

What's interesting here, is how CM Jan Perry, Leiweke and the Times are orchestrating a media attack against Nuch. It's fun to watch. But don't believe everything you read.

And the Medical Marijuana community ain't too happy with Nuch, already. Maybe we can still call the City Attorney "Rocky" cause that's how his term is going to go. Nuch sure doesn't help himself. He sure does rub people the wrong way. But, gotta be careful not to throw the baby out with the bath water with Nuch. But MAN...the perceptions ain't looking too good out there. (KFI is now running a top of hour news piece on Nuch's perceived bullying.)

Tim Leiweke claims the city attorney wanted the Staples Center owner to pay $6 million for services L.A. provided during the pop singer's memorial.

Tim Leiweke

AEG President Tim Leiweke says he sees political motives behind City Atty. Carmen Trutanich's demands regarding the cost of the Michael Jackson memorial.

Los Angeles City Atty. Carmen Trutanich tried to pressure the owner of Staples Center to pay $6 million for city services provided during the Michael Jackson memorial, saying he would "go after you guys" if the money was not paid, the company's top executive alleged Wednesday.

"I wouldn't say it was extortion. I would say it's a bully tactic. That's the way I would put it. He's trying to bully us. And he's done it on three different occasions," AEG President and Chief Executive Tim Leiweke told The Times' editorial board Wednesday.

His accusations escalate a growing public feud between the brash new city attorney and one of L.A.'s most influential corporations.

On the one side is the company that owns two of the city's most prominent entertainment venues, Staples Center and the L.A. Live entertainment complex. On the other is a city attorney who took office in July and has quickly developed a reputation for aggressive and sometimes unorthodox actions. Trutanich recently threatened to throw City Councilwoman Jan Perry in jail and file criminal charges against the city's top building-and-safety official if they violated his directives regarding AEG. [HOW CAN LA TIMES KEEP MAKING THIS CLAIM? JUST BECAUSE PERRY IS SAYING SO? CAN SHE EVEN PASS A DRUG TEST FOR CRACK? IT'S NOT LIKE HE SAID IT IN A MEETING, OR WITH WITNESSES. NUCH KNOWS SHE IS HIS CLIENT AS COUNCILMEMBER, AND HE KNOWS HE CANNOT ARREST HIS OWN CLIENT. Jan Perry is running for mayor and she is already campaigning against her perceived potential challenger. LOL!]

Trutanich said he's enforcing the law and looking out for the interests of Los Angeles taxpayers.

But Leiweke said he sees political motives. Leiweke is a major ally of Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, and both backed Trutanich's opponent in the bitter race for city attorney earlier this year.

Since taking office, Trutanich has blocked sign permits for the company's new downtown movie theater and attempted to delay the city's plans to lease billboard space to AEG at the Convention Center.

Last April, Leiweke hosted a campaign fundraiser at Staples Center for Trutanich's opponent, Jack Weiss. "I can only guess . . . that part of this is that we were on the wrong side of that election," Leiweke said. [Good job, Tim! Marketing Warfare 101! That DOES plant the seed that this is political payback for backing the other guy. I'M NOT SAYING THAT'S WHAT IT IS, OR ISN'T. BUT I'M A MARKETING STRATEGY GUY, AND I THINK THAT HURTS NUCH, PERCEPTUALLY IN THIS WITH YOUR AVERAGE NON-INSIDER READER.]

Leiweke contends the feud began in earnest after Trutanich appeared before the City Council in July and announced there were "criminal aspects" to his investigation into how much the Jackson memorial cost the city. [Perhaps Nuch is trying to be diplomatic (believe it or not) and give Tim a chance to "cough it up" because maybe Nuch doesn't want to have to open up the "whole can of worms" that could have a lot of collateral damage/he doesn't really want to "go there." Otherwise, Nuch is bluffing...and I don't think he would completely bluff. So he PROBABLY has something, but it may be kinda messy -- or may require a lot to see all the way through...BUT...if you push him...the NUCH DOGG will unleash!]

Concerned that AEG was being accused of wrongdoing, Leiweke called and asked for a one-on-one meeting with Trutanich at the Starbucks at L.A. Live. Trutanich showed up with staff members, including two security officers, and it went downhill from there, Leiweke said.

"I said 'Nuch, I thought we were just going to have a quiet get-to-know-each-other,' " Leiweke said. "He kept his glasses on the whole time and just simply said, let me make sure you understand this straight. I am going back to the original City Charter and I am going to enforce it. And in this particular case, I believe you have done something wrong here, and you don't know what you don't know." [Again, maybe Nuch is trying to get him to cough up some cash, before we have to do it the hard (more disruptive) way?]

Trutanich requested that AEG reimburse the city for its costs, Leiweke said.

"And I said, what's your idea of settlement? And he said, $6 million. And I said, where did you get that number from? He said, that's the number," Leiweke said, recalling the meeting.

"He made it very clear, either you settle or I am going to go after you guys. I said, 'Fine. I'm sorry this didn't work out.' " [AGAIN, now we have to go off of what Tim says and the fact that LA Times is working in cahoots with people like Perry and AEG. IT'S A HELL OF A LOT OF FUN TO WATCH. But you kind of need the same grain of salt when you read the Times and you do when you read The Globe.]

According to City Hall's top financial analyst, the memorial cost the city an estimated $1.3 million for police overtime, installing portable toilets, redirecting traffic and providing other city services. Leiweke said he had offered to help defray a portion of the $1.3 million.

Dennis Zine argued the memorial cost the city millions more, including the salaries of all the police officers and other city employees deployed for the event, not just overtime. AEG and the Jackson estate arranged the memorial and "stand to make millions" in a movie gleaned from video of Jackson's rehearsals for his comeback tour, Zine said. [JEALOUS, DENNIS? Me, too. I know you're not that smart, but unfortunately, that's the way it works in America. You can make millions of rehearsal footage if people will buy tickets for it. Sounds like you want them to simply make a charitable donation. If Nuch has evidence that the law was broken with the event and the money paid for police and services, that's one thing. But if there was no law requiring permits for an event like this at the time (which I doubt there was, since they tried to pass a new one after this event), then it sounds like you are asking for nothing more than a charitable donation.]

Now, the conflict between AEG and Trutanich is centering on the upcoming Jackson documentary, "This Is It." The film will premiere Tuesday at the grand opening of AEG's new theater at L.A. Live, but Trutanich has blocked the company from erecting on the building wall signs advertising the movie. [I'm not sure it's such a good idea to strip away the Hollywood marketing and image, Nuch? I have to see the location, specifically by Olympic and the 110 where the signage would be. But this is Hollywood and a tourist attraction. Would you tear down the neon in Vegas?]

Two weeks ago, the city attorney warned the city's interim general manager of building and safety, Raymond Chan, that he could face criminal prosecution if he issued permits for six signs at the theater.

Perry said Trutanich also vowed to throw her in jail if she tried to intervene. [AND ZUMA DOGG DOES NOT BELIEVE HER AND FEELS SHE IS STRETCHING AND TAKING THINGS OUT OF CONTEXT.]

"You can't go around threatening people, trying to intimidate people and interfering with them when they're trying to do their job," Perry said, who on Friday had called for a council hearing on the controversy. [And when she say, "interfering" she means, continue the path of fraud, waste and abuse and same old business as usual. JAN PERRY...YOU ARE STARTING TO SICKEN ME AGAIN! I MIGHT SUPPORT WENDY OR ERIC FOR MAYOR OVER YOU!]

Trutanich last week denied making any threat, saying only that he has been aggressively upholding the strict ban on signage that the council approved in August. The ban prohibits new digital signs, supergraphics and billboards facing freeways.

"I'm serious about enforcing this ordinance," Trutanich said Friday.

AEG representatives said the city approved plans for the signs in 2006 and had already granted the structural and electrical permits for the six signs, with only the artwork permits still pending. The ban does not cover projects already approved and underway, including AEG's theater at L.A. Live. [BUT I BET THEY DIDN'T FILE THE PERMIT IN TIME. THEIR BAD.]

Leiweke said that if permits for the signs are not issued in a timely fashion, it could represent "hundreds of millions of dollars in damages" for the company. [HE'S SETTING UP THE LAWSUIT.]

THIS ONE LOOKS LIKE A BIG, JUICY SHOWDOWN. IT'S ALMOST AS GOOD AS DALLAS. WIth Larry Hagman (JR) as Nuch and Joan Collins as Jan Perry and Patrick Duffy as Tim L. Maybe ZD can write the script.

HEAR NEW MICHAEL JACKSON SONG: "This Is It" (Movie Trailer and NEW SONG)

It sounds like a "B" track that didn't make it on "Thriller" but the new Michael Jackson song, "This Is It" (title track of the new movie) has that warm, classic Michael feel and sound that only he can create. It might have been the "bathroom break" song at his concert, but as soon as I heard the track, it brings back that old Michael magic and took me back to the "Thriller" 80's era feeling. Which is a good feeling! Since his passing, I've listened to a lot of his "acapella" studio tracks on YouTube which are fascinating and helped me better understand what it is about his vocal performances. Basically, the kid was just great at telling a story through in his delivery. We were all blown away how a little kid could pack so much feeling into "I Want You Back," at that age. And he never stopped doing that, it just is taken a little more for granted as you grow up. So let me pull out my DJ voice to say, "It's Zuma Dogg on Zuma Report.com with the latest smash hit from Michael Jackson...from the new movie, "This Is It," here's, "This Is It," on ZUMA REPORT.com!"

BILLIE JEAN REHEARSAL SESSION: Michael Jackson or Zuma Dogg?

Is this Michael Jackson rehearsing "Billie Jean" for the new "This Is It" tour? If not, maybe it's Zuma Dogg.

VIDEO TRAILER: Michael Jackson - "This Is It!"

WOW! There were reports that he couldn't sing like he used to. Don't believe what you read on blogs, cause in this clip his voice still sounds "studio quality," during rehearsals. I was shocked at how good he sounds at the beginning of this clip.

All the money that is going to be made off of this movie, while City of L.A. picked up the tab for the AEG/Staples Memorial event, is gonna make Nuch & ZD's head explode! "This Is It!" (As in the profits SONY was waiting for. Aren't they in Culver City?)

By the way, speaking of NUCH and AEG MJ Memorial Event...look for Nuch to follow up on his, "criminal elements" with a shoe to drop soon. (YES, the name of THAT movie trailer is called, "It Ain't Over"...and ZD says you may hear something while this movie is in theaters.)

But for now..."Whoooooooo! Whoooooo! Na-na-na, na-na-na...na-na-na, na, naaaa, na-na...

JUST ANNOUNCED: Details To Advanced Screening of Michael Jackson "This Is It" (Get Ready For Expensive Crowd Control For AEG)

Preface: WHEN THESE TICKETS GO ON SALE (SEE BOTTOM OF THIS POST) I'M SURE THE CITY WILL BE HIT WITH A CROWD MORE ALONG THE LINES THEY WERE EXPECTING LAST TIME. IN OTHER WORDS, WAY MORE PEOPLE WILL SHOW UP TO AEG's LA LIVE ON SATURDAY TO BUY THESE LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS THAN SHOWED UP FOR THE MEMORIAL EVENT THAT COST THE CITY SO MUCH.

http://www.aeginteractive.com/sc/images/sc_header0909.jpg

Well, when he said, "This Is It," he wasn't kidding. And when L.A. City Attorney Carmen "NUCH" Trutanich said Staples Center/AEG would be paying the city back for the Jackson Memorial, he was. BUT NOW, looks like it's all's well that ends well, because at least I was sent this spam email (maybe because I posted a Michael Jackson video on my blog today and because I am known for singing and performing just like him) -- OR, because I submitted my email address for FREE tickets for the Jackson Memorial Event (that I wouldn't have been able to attend, anyway, cause it was at the same time as "public comment" at the city council meeting) -- AND NOW THAT THERE IS A PAID MOVIE, THAT IS CERTAIN TO INCLUDE FOOTAGE FROM THIS EVENT BROUGHT TO YOU BY CITY OF LOS ANGELES TAXPAYER DOLLARS OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND -- and they know I have retired from council meetings, maybe they think I'll be able to go. Except this one isn't free. So, I'll just by the bootleg DVD off the downtown streets the day after THIS event.

MASSIVE Zuma Dogg UPDATE: New Campaign Videos, Update on Performance Audits, and ZD Media Appearances for Next 24 Hours; AND, Zuma & Michael, JACKSON!

ZUMA DOGG ON 870 KRLA RADIO TONIGHT AT 9PM!: Listen to Kevin James tonight at 9pm as he hosts Part 2 of his L.A. City Council candidate forum, with Los Angeles City Council Candidate (CD 3) ZUMA DOGG....LIVE IN STUDIO, with failure State ASSembly member Paul Krekorian and the remaining candidates. Listen LIVE here at 9:05 pm.

ZUMA DOGG ON 790 KABC RADIO FRIDAY MORNING AT 9AM!: Listen to Doug McIntyre's coverage of the City Council election, as ZUMA DOGG makes a rare, in-studio appearance!!! I hope KABC picks up the tab for all the added LAPD that will need to barricade off the streets and entrance to the station, so Zuma Dogg can make it through the crowds of people who will be lining the streets awaiting my arrival. (I hope this doesn't turn into an "AEG/Staples Center, 'why should the city pick up the tab,' senario.) Listen LIVE here at 9:05 AM.

L.A. City Councilmember Tony Cardenas NOT a big fan of Controller having authority for "performance audits.": During a discussion at the council meeting, yesterday (9/9/09), Los Angeles City Councilmember Tony Cardenas stood up to speak out AGAINST Controller Wendy Greuel's request to allow her office to run "performance audits" in addition to financial audits.

We all know it's basically TEAM CARDENAS (Cardenas, Alarcon and Associates) vs TEAM VILLARAIGOSA (Antonio, Wendy, Villar's CM puppet he has in his pocket (the rest of them besides CM Parks) at City Hall and in the council meetings. If the City's general fund and all the non-profit money and Federal and State money for programs and everything else is just a big "pot of money" to be had, like a rugby ball in a rugby match...then it's TEAM VILLARAIGOSA vs TEAM CARDENDAS.

SO, when Wendy wants to run "performance audits" and Cardenas is doing everything from tap dancing to trying to push it back to committee for a long discussion and perhaps even more discussions (as he actually put it) -- ANYTHING BUT ALLOW PERFORMANCE AUDITS;

Zuma Dogg's "SHADY ALERT" radar perks up.

So then you have to ask, "Why is he fighting against "performance audits" vs "financial audits."

With financial audits (which are already being done), it's easy to make it look like everything is "hunky-dory." For example, "Yes, half a million dollars was budgeted for this program from Federal dollars...and it was given to (preferred and connected) non-profit and they provided THESE services.

O.K.! Looks good to me. So that's about how much shadiness you are going to squeeze out of a financial audit.

BUT, if you can all of the sudden start poking around and start seeing what services are being provided for the money, and who is REALLY walking away with the money, and in what amounts; then you might start to uncover some serious corruption (fraud, waste and abuse).

So HELL YEAH, you are going to want to fight for your political life against performance audits when you are on the wrong side of the shadiness.

DAVID SALTSBURG (Zuma Dogg) SPEAKS AT L.A. City Council Candidate Forums: Here are some video moments from recent City Council (CD 2) candidate forums. The election is Tuesday, September 22nd, and please email my blog to people and let them know there is an election. Here is some ammunition to sell people on Zuma Dogg. THANKS TO TAMAR GALATZAN FOR CHOSING "ZUMA DOGG!": Last night on Kevin James' LIVE radio forum, for all the hear, when asked, "WHO WOULD YOU CHOOSE FROM YOUR OPPONENTS TO BE YOUR CHIEF OF STAFF?," Ms. Galatzan told the city, "Zuma Dogg! SERIOUSLY, thanks Tamar, that makes me feel good, because she's saying that of the other candidates including Neighborhood Council members, and the others (grassroots, of course, because of COURSE she's not gonna say "Essel or Krackorian," but she didn't say any of the other NC Council members or business owners...

SO SHE'S WILLING TO SAY THAT SHE WOULD TRUST ZD MOST OF ALL THE OTHER CANDIDATES ON THE BALLOT TO REPRESENT HER, HER DISTRICT AND TO WORK WITH THE PEOPLE OF CD 2. Although it doesn't mean she is obligated to follow up on this, because it was only a question among the people on the ballot, not the entire universe of potential candidates for the job. BUT, in the situation when asked, she was willing to step up and admit she would trust her reputation and district to Zuma Dogg, most! THANKS...We've come a long way, baby!

ZUMA DOGG "LIVE" FEATURING MICHAEL JACKSON (New YouTUBE): Alright, you've been good boys and girls and have read all this important stuff about the City Council and election, so you deserve to get to see the most phenomenal performance duo since McCartney/Jackson in the 80's...it's Dogg/Jackson in the '09, performing "Billie Jean" LIVE in Los Angeles before a stunned and amazed crowd who never expected the superstar (Zuma Dogg) to be showing up for this rare duet. AND NO...I do not care that I'm running for Council and I should wait until after the election to post this. JUST BECAUSE I CAN HAVE FUN AND HAVE RAPPORT WITH PEOPLE IN THIS FUN WAY, DOESN'T MEAN I'M MORE SERIOUS THAN AND PRUDENT THAN BERNARD PARKS WHEN I'M OFF DUTY AS ZUMA DOGG AND BEING L.A. CITY COUNCIL MEMBER AS ZUMA DOGG. Plus, it's bad karma to deny the people what they want. So here it is...L.A. Pop Icon, performing with Michael Jackson!

Sorry, not going to be any updates on Obama vs Villaraigosa or any of the city hall stuff...Zuma Dogg ON THE WAY OUT...I'M SENDING THE WARNING SIGNALS

Didn't get a real good feeling after reading this article about Michael Jackson. He knew he was toast. It was no surprise to anyone who knew him. People didn't care, cause there was going to be a concert. Anyway, I've been putting my desperate S.O.S. messages out here, before Jackson died. I like being optimistic, but I see the writing on the wall regarding ZD, too. It's over kiddies. I'm on the way out. Slipped through the cracks. Sorry things didn't work out. YOU DO NOT MAKE A COMEBACK FROM WHERE I AM TODAY. I CAN SEE IT'S SLIPPING THE WRONG WAY. Leave me the fuck alone. It's too late now. Adios Muchachos. Stop reading this blog. I am not going to update it with the political stuff you want to see. What the fuck good does it do me to sit here and update inside stuff coming out of the White House regarding City Hall WHEN I AM LEGITIMATLEY CONCERNED THAT I AM GOING TO DROP DEAD AT ANY MOMENT. Glad you though about me.

Zuma Dogg Sings Tribute To Michael Jackson at Los Angeles City Council Meeting (Plus MORE FREE SPEECH From City Council Meeting)

[Pictured: "I'm tawkin' here!"]

NOTE: At some point during the meeting, it was brought to acting council President Dennis Zine's attention that they may have lost a quorum, so the city clerk made a quorum call. It came up 7. THAT'S SHORT OF A QUORUM. So they had to wrangle up three more Councilosers. BUT, what about the time they did not have a quorum. THOSE items need to be reconsidered. See link below for blown quroum call.)

Today, with three different agendas being juggled around (a lot of shadiness to pack in a day) Zuma Dogg, Matt Dowd and others experienced a windfall of public comment, today, getting more time than every over the past three years.

What was most hilarious, is that after hours of Dog and Pony Shows (and a closed session item that started at 8:30 AM, instead of ususal 10pm start time), Council tried to slip away before public comment, and they lost a quorum, but had to get some Councilmembers back, because they had cards on more items ( than I have ever seen before from the public), AND NONE OF THEM WERE CALLED SPECIAL BY COUNCIL. So I have never seen a streak where council had to sit there for public comment for agenda items called special ONLY BY THE PUBLIC, not council.(They couldn't approve the items until they called the cards from the public and they didn't get out of there till 3pm.)

SO, THANK YOU CITY COUNCIL FOR WAITING UNTIL ZUMA DOGG AND MATT DOWD COULD FINISH ALL THEIR COMMENTS AND MAX OUT THEIR SPEAKING TIME. But to the other people who had to wait about five hours only to be told their time would be cut in half from two minutes to one minute...AFTER HOURS OF LONG WINDED KISS-ASS SESSIONS FROM CLOWNCIL LOSERS...SOME FOLKS WERE NOT TOO HAPPY, AND MY MICHAEL JACKSON TRIBUTE GOT CUT DOWN TO ONLY ONE MINUTE. Sorry Michael.
