Update: Ralph Horowitz's South Central Project WIll Be Delayed At Least A Year, Accoding to LA City

A lot of new stuff coming across the internet news scan at LA City News.Blogspot.com, but with THIS story on the South Central Farmers and Ralph Horowitz just hitting the wire, I wanted to post this update:

South Los Angeles project at former garden site to get broader study first
Environmental impact report will delay developer Ralph Horowitz's plan for a warehouse by at least a year, city says

The company that hopes to build a warehouse on a former 14-acre community garden has agreed to prepare an environmental impact report, delaying a decision on the project for at least a year, Los Angeles officials said Monday.

Zuma Dogg remembers the South Central Farmers from his first days at City Hall and he learned so much from them, and now I am speaking on much more than Venice Beach. However, I just caught the tail end of their appearances at City Hall for public comment.

Ron Kaye has commentary here.
