Dear President Barack Obama,
Please have the National Guard ready to roll to Los Angeles City Hall public park lawn space, where there is a cult encampment set up. Not only are they set up illegally, since they are not leaving at the 10pm curfew time that parks close; but the mayor has CLOSED THE PARK,, ENTIRELY, issuing an eviction notice, effective 11/28/11 at 12:01 AM.
But you've seen this chump, in person and have heard him try to stammer out some canned talking points, he still stumbles all over...AND NOW, he has CLEARLY proven that he does not have the will, esteem, dignity, power, or ability to enforce municipal laws.
Additionally, L.A. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich (Dan Raskov's boss and perhaps, occasional D.A. campaign political operative) has failed to lift a "word-class, legal strategy mind" finger to restore public access and safety for all.
And as for LAPD, of COURSE they want this to drag out LONGER than the Occupiers, themselves, so they can stand around and rack up the overtime and bolster the pensions.
It all adds up to things like L.A.'s most beloved political folk hero being physically attacked by the cult OccupyLA mob, including a guy with a Survivor flute, and a bunch of people with yoga mats.
Additionally, by allowing this illegal gathering to grow and fester; and by PRE-ANNOUNCING the eviction, in itself, it allowed a BIGGER crowd to grow, as others from other areas, showed up. The crowd OCCUPIED the city streets and forced road closures. (What if you had to drive your dog to the vet and couldn't get through and your dog died?)
Now, 24 hours after the eviction time, Villaraigosa is still making excuses, the City Attorney, Carmen Trutanich has been as silent as Helen Keller; and LAPD stands around waiting for an Occupier to ask them to dance.

I'm sure you remember the LA Weekly story on the 3rd & Rose (Venice) RV parking issue, that The Weekly compared to "skid row." At the time, I did not, and I still do not feel it is ANYTHING like Skid Row, because it's not populated with masses...just a few people, at any given time, sitting on the sidewalk; and some RVs parked on the street, as allowed.
Additionally, at the time, the sidewalks and streets were still clean...SO CLEAN, I took my ZumaCAM, and showed the streets were clean enough to sleep and eat on.
HOWEVER, a lot has changed in a year, after councilman Bill Rosendahl squandered the general fund with his council cronies, during the past five years of L.A. City Council meetings (fraud, waste and abuse, that ROSENDAHL NEVER VOTED, ONE TIME, AGAINST/IN OPPOSITION, and WENT ALONG WITH/WAS COMPLICIT WITH EVERYTHING THAT BROUGHT US TO THIS BUDGETARY MESS, CLOSURES AND SERVICES REDUCTIONS), it appears the streets TRULY HAVE FALLEN INTO A FILTHY CIRCUMSTANCE.
And as usual, I was NOT seeking to follow up on any investigative story. I stumbled upon (around, actually; luckily for the bottom of my shoes), this public health & safety issue, while walking a friend who drove to Venice to visit ZD, back to his car.

Please have the National Guard ready to roll to Los Angeles City Hall public park lawn space, where there is a cult encampment set up. Not only are they set up illegally, since they are not leaving at the 10pm curfew time that parks close; but the mayor has CLOSED THE PARK,, ENTIRELY, issuing an eviction notice, effective 11/28/11 at 12:01 AM.
But you've seen this chump, in person and have heard him try to stammer out some canned talking points, he still stumbles all over...AND NOW, he has CLEARLY proven that he does not have the will, esteem, dignity, power, or ability to enforce municipal laws.
Additionally, L.A. City Attorney Carmen Trutanich (Dan Raskov's boss and perhaps, occasional D.A. campaign political operative) has failed to lift a "word-class, legal strategy mind" finger to restore public access and safety for all.
And as for LAPD, of COURSE they want this to drag out LONGER than the Occupiers, themselves, so they can stand around and rack up the overtime and bolster the pensions.
It all adds up to things like L.A.'s most beloved political folk hero being physically attacked by the cult OccupyLA mob, including a guy with a Survivor flute, and a bunch of people with yoga mats.
Additionally, by allowing this illegal gathering to grow and fester; and by PRE-ANNOUNCING the eviction, in itself, it allowed a BIGGER crowd to grow, as others from other areas, showed up. The crowd OCCUPIED the city streets and forced road closures. (What if you had to drive your dog to the vet and couldn't get through and your dog died?)

GOOD LISTEN!: KCRW "Which Way L.A.?" on Future of OccupyLA with L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa (Interview by Warren Olney)
I wonder when L.A. Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa IMMEDIATELY shifts WHATEVER question is being asked, into his political talking points (how many times does he mention, "US Conference of Mayors?") -- and when he simply DOES NOT ANSWER THE QUESTION, BEING ASKED, AT ALL...if he thinks people don't realize and are not frustrated waiting to hear the answer.
KCRW'S WARREN OLNEY on "Which Way L.A.?" wasn't spun, and had to re-ask every question, a second time. (He wasn't buying it, but KCRW talk hosts are more polite in their disgust, so they don't say, "That's not the question I asked, you shady, mob-connected, moron!" What happened to the pension fund?"
BOTTOM LINE: A great interview with Villaraigosa (in the category of "Best Comedy Performance") -- and two other guests, pile on, in a way that had ZD sitting, listening as a TRUE LISTENER, without going NUTZ, because I am not hearing the ZD perspective represented. (For example, LA Times front page said, "An Act of Solidarity," after unruly mob spills into street, blocking traffic -- during a completely illegal and unlawful, post 10pm public park curfew (and post 12:01 AM park closure deadline.) If ZD were publisher of LA Times, it would have said, "Mayor Fails To Enforce Municipal Law, And Unruly Mob Shuts Down City Streets. ANARCHY ENSUES...AS CITY HALL STANDS BY POWERLESS!!! SEND THE NATIONAL GUARD! NO LEADERSHIP IN LOS ANGELES!!!

VIDEO EXHIBIT: Zuma Dogg Delivers Most "Stunning & Amazing" Vocal Performance, Ever! (The "Susan Boyle" of "Venice Beach Boardwalk") Sade - "No Ordinary Love" by Zuma Dogg!?!?!
Alright, y'all...time to pull out all the stops. You've heard me sing in a fun, playful way...but now that L.A. City Councilman Herb Wesson was elected as new L.A. City Council President, there was added Google search activity on Herb, last week, upon the news.
In completely unrelated matters, Zuma Dogg has been preparing for a "Zuma Dogg Show" (Singing/Rapping/Karaoke/Choreography, Vegas style review), to make use of the golden Zuma Dogg echo amplifier, to make some money, cause I think you know I need it. And since all I do is sit inside and sing, anyway...may as well do it in front of people, who can tip me/put a donation in my other hand. (The hand I'm not holding the mic with.)
So, I posted some new YouTube videos, of ZD singing Holiday Classics, cause maybe I could pull out some Holiday gigs, cause I can also DJ parties with a full and unlimited music library, to play through the amp, as well.
After posting the new videos (and to see what other "singing" videos were on the net, of Zuma Dogg, to showcase for upcoming gigs), I did a Google search for, "Zuma Dogg Sings." And I see an article from LA Times, with a comment from L.A. City Councilman Herb Wesson saying, "We're stunned and amazed. We've never seen anything like it. But, he can't sing, dance or rap a lick." EXCUSE ME, MR. WESSON!!!! I WANT TO BE KNOWN AS "STUNNING AND AMAZING" FOR MY SINGING & RAPPING. (OK, I'll give you "dancing.")

. (ZD=NOT HAPPY! HOW DO I GET A BREAK? First, they violate my right to perform, then the City Council president runs a hit job on me in LA Times, cause he has the platform, cause he has the power.
And it has caused me so much emotional duress, this week, since the post re-appeared before my eyes with Herb's negative comments on my singing (I have plenty of good, credible rap videos on the net), as I was walking down the street, and supposed to be enjoying a nice day walking down the street or waking along the beach...the bipolar fuel kicked in...and did an about face, and started charging back to my apartment/karaoke-blog studio, to record an "exhibit" that I may have an opportunity to play for a jury at the Federal trial, Zuma Dogg and the City of Los Angeles are scheduled for, in August 2012.
SO, again...Bee Gess are great...but don't wanna be silly. Wanna prove=DAMN! So I said to myself, "who is the best, most globally-recognized singing vocalist...ZUMA DOGG THINKS SADE IS SURE UP THERE!!!!
So, if someone who is supposed to be the most phenomenal singing/rapping/dancing performing phenomenon in human history...gotta be able to sing ANY SONG...at ANY TIME!!!! In this video, I PROMISE YOU, it's the FIRST TIME I am singing this on the mic, and need the words in front of me (as you can see). So, again...just like a world-class session player has to be able to jump in the seat -- and play the music charts in front of him/her...ZD takes a shot at SADE - "No Ordinary Love" in this one take performance. (I made an edit from the first verse, to the SECOND chorus, because the video was WAY better...NOT a second take edited in.)
So if Herb Wesson says, "Zuma Dogg can't sing a lick," when he never even attended any of my live performances, does this video qualify me as being able to sing, in the spirit of a true performing musician?
YOU be the judge...I mean jury. Hope I can step out on the stage, again. My confidence is SHATTERED! [Instead of the Susan Boyle of Venice, I'm probably the William Hung of my Apartment, and just don't realize it. After all, HE didn't.]

So, if someone who is supposed to be the most phenomenal singing/rapping/dancing performing phenomenon in human history...gotta be able to sing ANY SONG...at ANY TIME!!!! In this video, I PROMISE YOU, it's the FIRST TIME I am singing this on the mic, and need the words in front of me (as you can see). So, again...just like a world-class session player has to be able to jump in the seat -- and play the music charts in front of him/her...ZD takes a shot at SADE - "No Ordinary Love" in this one take performance. (I made an edit from the first verse, to the SECOND chorus, because the video was WAY better...NOT a second take edited in.)
So if Herb Wesson says, "Zuma Dogg can't sing a lick," when he never even attended any of my live performances, does this video qualify me as being able to sing, in the spirit of a true performing musician?

Zuma Dogg Sings About The Darkness on the Edge of Town (Song About L.A. City Hall) ZD's HOLIDAY MUSIC VIDEO SERIES
Last time my mom came to visit, she saw the magic mini-karaoke amp, enough to cut through any OccupyLA "moment of peace for global unity," moment, along with world-famous "ECHO" (I'M ALLOWED TO USE ECHO), in the window of a local thrift shop. It was only $30, which was extremely undervalued, cause it was also new -- and WAY MORE AMPLIFICATION than needed to get me into trouble on the Venice boardwalk. AND SHE WANTED ME TO BE ON THE VENICE BOARDWALK...DOING SOMETHING!!! TO MAKE MONEY!!! She doesn't like hearing about how much fun I have in Malibu, singing for the "A" listers. She likes when I sing for the dontators...on the boardwalk...when I am singing, rapping and performing. So she got me the amp. BUT, the first time I took it out, LAPD violated my rights, and the councilman had to intervene and get the Captain involved; then the Lt called to apologize; then the City Attorney called LAPD and said, stop doing the things you are doing to Zuma Dogg; then I had to go to LAPD Police Commission & Council meetings, to put it on the record. THEN, the next time I went out, couldn't perform, cause knife-wielding food vendors scream over my singing, when they aren't allowed to be there. And it's TOTALLY UNSAFE, now. SO I AM STUCK INSIDE, disabled and degenerating. Not that this is the BEST performance or sound quality; but it's a slice of life of a day in the life of a former Venice performer, who can't go on the boardwalk to perform, but a performer is still gonna perform. Even if it's only to himself.
