Goodell: L.A. team not likely for 2012

Developer Anschutz Entertainment Group's aggressive yearlong marketing push for its downtown stadium lost a whiff of momentum this week following news that the NFL isn't planning an immediate return to the area.

Speaking to reporters in Dallas on Wednesday, National Football League Commissioner Roger Goodell called Los Angeles a very "viable market" but said bringing a team back to the 2012 season - which AEG had initially hoped for - isn't likely.

"(Los Angeles) is a viable market in the sense that we know there are millions of fans in that market who want to see football return there," said Goodell, according to a transcript of the news conference.

"But we want it to return in a successful way, and that requires a stadium. I don't think we'll be in a position to make that decision by 2012, but we'll continue to work with the different alternatives in Los Angeles and hope that we get a solution that will work." (As in City of Industry?)

It's not about winning...it will allow me to have access to newspaper, radio and TV media through the interviews they allow ALL candidates. So I will be able to BLAST THE F*CK out of Antonio Villaraigosa, even though he isn't running, and refer to all the ways he caused all problems we are suffering now, as a result.

Zuma Dogg on Zev Yaroslavsky As L.A. Mayoral Candidate

SUMMARY: DO NOT VOTE FOR ZEV YAROSLAVSKY FOR L.A. MAYOR! (Look at his record and performance as Los Angeles Board of County Stupidvisors.)

Board of County Supervisors (BOS) are FAR WORSE than L.A. City Council; and based on my review of Stupidvisor Yaroslavsky's performance, at the BOS meetings, as televised throughout the county...MOE HOWARD'S ESTATE CALLED: They say, "Ceast and Desist on the 'Moe from 3 Stooges' Act."

So Zev is a career politician, who has sat on his lazy, bureaucratic ass for twenty years, or so, in the same seat, as the county slid right into the toilet, under his brilliant analysis, assessments and voting record. (He paid $200,000 to have his social network set up for him. (Didn't YOU set up you facebook, twitter and blog, for free, by yourself? Even if he had to pay someone to do it, $200,000??? What does HE care...not HIS money.)

So more to come on Zev "The 4th Stooge" Yarboslobsky: But finally, here's what concerns me about his campaign for mayor, if he chooses to run. (And I say he still might not run, cause Austin Beutner, the city hall-backed candidate, has retained the political consulting services of Ace "Avril" Smith. So that means Zev is gonna be DESTROYED in the mailer attack campaign. And Ace is known to get UGLY. REEEEEEEEEEEEEEAL U-G-L-Y!!! (So I don't know if Zev wants to endure that type of whipping.)

But here's what concerns me about Zev's campaign (positive for Zev): He's currently a long-standing Board of County Supervisor. He has union support and big support from his years and years in that position. And BOS is WAY bigger than City Council, in the fact that they oversee more and make decisions on much bigger money and projects. And everyone knows, these elected officials benefit in their campaigns by the leverage and even infrastructure of their office and position. And here's why:

Imagine if you are a big shot who DOES NOT SUPPORT ZEV and he wins?: OH MAN, are YOU on the out...better take your chances with Zev!!! Because, guess what? If he LOSES...oh no...his ass is still "Krazy Glued" to his BOS seat, and he'll still be voting on all those big projects and money. (Hope you don't have business with the city OR county, if you don't support Zev.)

I don't think any of these amateur. chump-change councilmembers will me able to mount the political infrastructure to beat Austin and Zev in the run-off. (Even though I think Jan Perry will surprise people with the amount of support and money she raises, out of the gate, compared to Garcetti. And Wendy...buh bye! City Hall threw you under the bus on the "Gold Card" ticket fix story, letting everyone know, you either HAD to know about it, or were a moron. Plus, you are too cold and do not even have the ability to be warm and fuzzy, like the despicable Antonio, Garcetti and these other phonies. AND AGAIN...it ain't gonna be the smooth sailing, like it was when you ran for controller against two grass root candidates with $50 bucks spent, between them. (You'll be fighting for union/billionaire share by TOO many other elected insiders. Riordan is backing Austin...when YOU used to be his gal. May as well pull the plug now, to save face on election day.)

So Zev will get support, cause if not...you're almost screwed, either way.

But Zuma Dogg predicts Austin Beutner would DEFEAT Zev Yaroslobsky in a run-off, because ULTIMATELY, people will have had enough of the same, old, tired, elected officials...Ace Smith will DESTROY ZEV in the run-off election...and all the movers and shakers have already fallen in love with Beutner -- and the more who meet him, the more who will jump on his bandwagon.

Anyway...whoever decides to run...if Zev runs...vote for ANYONE ELSE! (And you have a nice day!)

SHOCKER! First Sign of Council LEADERSHIP Zuma Dogg Has Seen in 4 Years Out of the Mouth of JAN PERRY! (Villar's Commissioner Appointment CONTINUED!)

UGH! I only like to COMPLAIN about JAN PERRY, but the "fair and impartial" part of ZD will not allow him to let her leadership today, on an issue ZD has focused a lot of light on, Villaraigosa's commissioner appointments, go un-noticed.

Today, Ms. Perry began to raise the issue during (the usual slam-dunk) approval of MAYOR DOUCHETONIO VILLARAIOGSA'S commissioner appointments, that many times the background and ethics checks are not being done before the votes -- that always end up with a unanimous approval.

When I ran for mayor in the last election, and had only three precious minutes to address the public, I took time to note a seldom discussed issue of Villaraiogsa's commissioner appointments (like LACERS' Elliot Broidy and other swell folks who just drove the city over the cliff.)

I've noted on-the-record UNCOUNTED NUMBER OF TIMES that it says, "background and ethics check not completed." And asked for the appointment to be continued.

So looks like Jan Perry may be aware of the legal implications that may come back to impact the city's general fund over the issue of bamboozling through Villar's shady appointments without the paperwork that reveals the donations and contributions these commissioner appointments may have made.

Honorable mention to BERNARD PARKS who backed up Perry and piled on.

Add it all up, and Zuma Dogg is STUNNED on "Dog & Pony Show, Presentation Friday" as he witnesses the first sign of true "against the grain" leadership, seen in four and a half years while monitoring City Council meetings, as JAN PERRY sets new precedent by having shady-Villar's commissioner appointment CONTINUED until the background review paperwork is done. SOMETHING THAT COUNCIL HAS BEEN "REQUIRING" SINCE 2005. (But many/most times are not being presented for the vote.)

Dubai? No, Condo Glut’s Stalling Grand Avenue

DEVELOPMENT: Doubts about financing add to real estate project’s problems.

Downtown L.A.’s $2.7 billion Grand Avenue urban renewal project won’t be affected by the financial troubles of its main backer in Dubai. That’s because the project is going nowhere fast. The real question is: Will it ever happen at all?

The problem is not just the funding – it’s also the precipitous decline in the downtown condo market.

“The project should be abandoned,” said Paul Novak, land planning deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich, the project’s most outspoken critic. “We need to rethink what goes on that land and how the county and city can maximize their returns. But it’s not this deal. We should probably start from scratch and issue a new request for proposals.”

Last week, Dubai World announced it would suspend scheduled debt payments while it restructures half of its $59 billion debt. In 2008, Istithmar World, a subsidiary of Dubai World, invested $100 million in Grand Avenue, a mixed-use project planned near Walt Disney Concert Hall. Istithmar isn’t affected, as it’s reported to be on stable financial footing.

Bill Witte, president of the California division of Related Cos., the Grand Avenue developer, said there was no fixed date to start construction on the project’s first phase, which includes 390 luxury condos, 98 rental apartments and 250,000 square feet of retail space.

“We are in the middle of a deep real estate recession, so we are not about to start,” Witte told the Business Journal. “You couldn’t build a 40-unit condo project in this market. So why would anyone think we would be ready to start now?”

But Witte said Grand Avenue will be built. The land is paid for, all plans have been completed, permits are in hand and Related will begin construction of a park in the summer.

But Novak estimates that phase one will require close to $1 billion. Meanwhile, the developer has only about half that amount secured.

“Where you’re going to find half-a-billion dollars in this market is beyond me,” he said.

Since phase one of the project was approved by the Grand Avenue Authority in February 2008, the downtown condo market has continued to retract. Major downtown developers, including Meruelo Maddox Properties and Namco Capital, have declared bankruptcy. And in early 2010, the Ritz-Carlton Residences near the Staples Center, built by Anschutz Entertainment Group, will flood the market with 224 luxury units. {ZD warned council of the Meruelo-Maddox bankruptcy all this past year before it happened, toward the goal of being able to prepare for it, which they never do.]

Brad Luster, president of downtown brokerage Major Properties, estimated that it would take seven years for the downtown market to absorb the condos in the Grand Avenue project.

“The present economics aren’t supporting new projects,” he said. “Right now there are four projects near LA Live that are in foreclosure or bankruptcy, and there’s a still a long way to go down.”

However, Gerry Hertzberg, policy director for County Supervisor Gloria Molina, chairwoman of the Grand Avenue Authority, said there is no intent to abandon or change the project’s plans.

LA Live and Grand Avenue Project boasts of five star hotels, luxury condos and specialty boutique shops. The Valley is proud to announce the opening of Neimen-Marcus and plans for their own "Grand Avenue Project" style project. Pacoima has plans to upscale. The City plans on turning East L.A. into something that would make Leo Decaprio and all his Hollywood crowd envious of the luxuriousness.

ARE YOU F*CKING NUTZ?!?!?

Have you looked around? Have you turned on the news? Are you aware of this downturn economy? Construction costs are SOARING!!! YOU MAY BE OPTIMISTIC AND SAY, "Well, things are cyclical, and the economy will turn around, and then all this stuff that only Donald Trump, Oprah Winfrey and Eli Broad can afford will be ready and open for business in this anticipated "boom" economy.

It ain't coming back, because the City, State and Feds allowed this situation to play out.

We are talking about a City and State that is in crisis mode and I think all the people in the know are now aware that basic police, trash, fire and general services will no longer be able to be provided in the way that we are used to and expect.

The unemployment money is running out.

All of this social service money people like Richard Alarcon and Ed Reyes have fought so hard to hand out to any living organism standing on U.S. soil is for nill...because there soon will not be any money left to funnel over to all of the applicants who came to this country to apply for these money and services.

The schools are on the "Highway to Hell" and DO NOT expect anything but a downward spiral o achievement.

You can take all the kids in the world fishing one time; you cannot fish -- OR ENFORCE your way out of the army of gang members on the streets.

First of all, you still have not made the decision to crack down on local terrorists who have taken over the streets. Secondly, you do not have the resources or personnel, EVEN IF THE MAYOR OF LOS ANGELES ACTUALLY DECIDED TO REPRESENT THE CITIZENS OF LOS ANGELES (INSTEAD OF HIS CURRENT ALLEGIANCES).

Secondly, you do not have the jail space even if you did go out there and round up every criminal on the street. AND YOU WILL NOT HAVE ENOUGH JAIL SPACE IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE. (At least another generation.)

LESS people are able to afford their current housing situation and MORE people will be competing for sidewalk space with Zuma Dogg as more families become first time homeless.

Camping tent manufacturers are experiencing record profits as more and more people set up their luxury encampment on Downtown sidewalks.

BUT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT THE LA RIVER PROJECT, GRAND AVENUE PROJECT, LA LIVE, NEIMEN-MARCUS, A HUGE LUXURY VALLEY PROJECT (to compete with Rodeo Drive, LMFAO) and all the crazy upscale sh*t like Wyvenwood happening all over Los Angeles.

WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, is start building the emergency shelters, low cost housing (500 sq ft units) and the "Flea Market Row" project -- NOT THE GRAND AVENUE (and all the wannabe) PROJECTS YOU BIG DUMMIES!

You're worse than Michael Jackson when news hit of all his financial troubles...meanwhile, he allows camera to follow him around on one of his Vegas shopping sprees. And people are saying, "What are you doing??? It's not cute anymore."

MC Hammer went through the same transition. He was living in denial. He had the image of the past and all the money (revenue) that was flowing through, and he though the future would always equal the past.

Zuma Dogg can walk into a store and can pick out a bunch of classy, expensive items that are way over my head. I have excellent taste! Garcetti, you and your City Council behave like a bunch of spoiled teenagers who were never disciplined properly, and now you just inherited a trust fund -- squandered all the money...

BUT ARE STILL SPENDING AND WASTING IT ON DUMB STUFF LIKE NEW CARS AND FANCY RIMS AND JEWELERY AND HIGH SOCIETY STUFF...

AND YOU ALREADY KNOW YOU DEPLETED THE TRUST FUND AND HAVE NO WAY OF PAYING THE CREDIT CARD BILL NEXT MONTH.

But just like a gambling or crack addiction...LOGIC DOESN'T MATTER...you got a monkey on your back, and you gotta keep feeding it, or it will kill you for not keeping the promises you made in your most desperate of hours during the election, I mean day.

So either the City of Los Angeles is nothing but a bunch of stupid idiots that can't see the most obvious of big pictures -- OR they are purposefully and criminally negligent.

The good news is that there is currently a Federal investigation (F.B.I.) into Los Angeles City Hall. And Zuma Dogg feels that the Federal government has bigger problems in this Country than Rocky Delgadildo's wife.

But Rocky is obviously a big problem for this region, so it'll be nice to have him locked up and out prevented from the opportunity of a higher office.

And ZD hears that Villaraigosa's legacy will be that of the Detroit mayor. (Taken away in handcuffs and pushed out of office.) But ZD feels Antonio won't be getting off the hook as lightly, since he's in a Federal boiling pot.)

AND, the FBI investigation into Rocky is merely the tip of the iceberg tool they need, to start looking into emails -- and I think there will be some un-expected (not to ZD) Special Elections to fill some CM seats.

The bad news is the damage has been done...the City and region is on the fast track to Tijuanaism; all the problems currently being discussed will be spiraling downward at a geometric rate of progression; and we have a City Hall of elected officials who are walking around as though they are the Royal Family of Dubai themselves on some MC Hammer shopping and construction spree complete with gold faucets, marble tubs and diamond encrusted toilets.

The good news is, when things get this bad, you can't contain the stink...and it made it all the way to Washington, and the Feds agree with Zuma Dogg that this is a matter of public safety and national security. Between Cooley and the F.B.I, ZD says City Hall is about to get a fumigation. (Or maybe the F.B.I. just felt like hassling Rocky's wife of all matters of concern in the United States of America.)

AND REMEMBER YOU INFERIOR-MINDED, EMOTIONALLY WEAK, SPOILED BRAT CITY COUNCILMEMBERS: Water is not an unlimited, infinite, synthetic resource that you can produce at will. AND YOU ALREADY DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH WATER FOR ALL OF YOUR "SMART GROWTH" ERIC GARCETTI, SO I THINK THAT MAKES YOU "DUMB" (or criminally negligent).
