U.S. TEA PARTY ALERT!: L.A. City News UPDATE for 8/21/11 - Read About The FUTURE of GLOBAL ECONOMY, TODAY! (Gold is ON THE RISE, in 3P hour, Sunday!)

Greetings from Los Angeles, CA. Ground Zero for phony smoke and mirror, house of cards, non-sense that drove the city over the budget cliff, into unavoidable demise.

NOW, the REST of the U.S. will be finding out all the spineless, non-leadership, empty-exhortations that will prevent the U.S. from taking the actual steps/measures, needed, to take us out of the crisis.

I've been investigating, uncovering, exposing and shutting down fraud, waste and abuse since 2006, when they they first put the hydro pump on this recent, municipal flush, down the drain; which is where the city now lives and breathes.

And the money disappeared and didn't stimulate who/what it was supposed to.)

Zuma Dogg on Austin Beutner vs Kevin James as L.A. Mayoral Candidates

I know people might expect ZD to be excited about Kevin James running for mayor, and it would be fun to be able to jump on that bandwagon and throw it against the city council candidates. But two things:
1) I do NOT begrudge Austin Beutner for being a brilliant, genius businessman who became a billionaire. When I hear him speak, I am always inspired -- despite his mild-mannered, shy/inward, lack-of-charisma delivery. AND, I do not begrudge him for being brought on board by the mayor to help get a handle on things. IT PROVIDED BEUTNER WITH THE MOST INSIDE WORKING KNOWLEDGE OF THE CITY, AT ALL DEPARTMENTAL LEVELS. And he has an amazing aptitude for assessing the situation and figuring out the TRUE/non-crybaby solution. YOU CAN'T TOUCH THAT!

2) Just because Kevin James is a good talk show host, does not qualify him for mayor. I think a talk show host COULD be a great mayor. But, for all of Kevin's knowledge, it's about the same as any other city watch dogg/activist/blogger. He showed up at city hall for public comment, once or twice...and attended neighborhood council meetings. But how are you going to step in and hit the ground running. (It's a pretty complex/complicated gig. And that's just to find the bathroom!) On the air, if you listen to his show, he just reads articles out of the Daily News and L.A. Times, then comments on how bad the situation is, and how we can change it at the polls. BUT, after listening for five years, I am still yet to hear Kevin offer a solution to anything besides, "vote them out." I am yet to hear him expose anything he took upon himself to investigate. (Again, reading an article out of the newspaper is mostly of benefit to the blind.) His show DOES serve a good purpose, anyway, cause it's further exposure and raises further awareness.

So listen to Kevin's show, Mon-Fri @12mid on 870 KRLA and Sunday morning @ 9am. I listen to it as much as possible. (Here's the link to his podcast page.) BUT, that doesn't mean he would make a good mayor, just cause he's a good demagogue. I would be ALL OVER Kevin's campaign...supporting it to the nutty-fullest. Because having a "grass roots/outsider" is something nice to have in the election, cause he will raise awareness and bring things up. But, when you listen to Austin Beutner, and answers he gives to problems, after overseeing all city departments at a doctor's/mechanic's inside view...I can't turn myself into a joke, just cause I like the other guy's radio show.

LAPD, FOR THE RECORD: Zuma Dogg was contacted by someone who was detained by LAPD, but with those plastic ties, instead of metal handcuffs. The smart cop didn't know how to untie the guy, so he took out a knife and tried to cut the straps, which he DID...along with the skin of the hand attatched to it. YES, SMART LAPD cop tries to cut loose detained person with knife and cuts the guy. YES, ZD suggested a lawsuit.

LOVE IT: Someone using the threat of arming Zuma Dogg with insider information on CalPERS, to get leverage on CalPERS board!!! (Triumphant!): "I'm not here to defend the likes of Weinstein and Villalobos, but I am here to put CalPERS board on notice that I will be arming the relentless, knarly, and rabid ZUMADOGG with the goods. Either you guys clean house of the old guard once and for all, or get your rabbies shots ahead of time. I absolutely do not buy into the premise that the consultants at places like CalPERS and LAFP were not complicit in the shenanigans that took place."   Perhaps you should have Mercedes Marquez call over to her Asst GM appointment in the Los Angeles Housing Department and see if he can find the SEVERAL MILLION DOLLARS that no one can seem to account for.

  
  

  Only two things can be happening:

  1) The money is not being collected for whatever reason. And it is not the Asst GM's money to decided not to collect. It is the People of Los Angeles' money, and they want it collected.

  
  

  2) It is being pilfered and racketeered. (The People of Los Angeles don't want that either.)

  
  

  This LOUD allegation is in addition to "Conflict of Interest" allegations as relating to Ms. Marquez's Asst GM appointment, as well. (Allegation being he is also an outreach contractor AND attorney, using info gathered in role as a city outreach contractor; to then take the information and use it to create lawsuits against property owners.)
  
  It's all unraveling on this blog (see postings below) -- and before the People of Los Angeles on LIVE TV, during the televised council meetings.

  HOPEFULLY, you can have Mercedes put in a call to the Housing Department to see what this is all about. Because this issue hurts both renters AND landlords and demonstrates the type of firmly entrenched corruption that has flourished under your 30-10 Transpo-pal, Antonio Villaraiogsa. CIty of Los Angeles - State Of The City Emergency Update From Zuma Dogg: 2010 Will Be A Disaster Film...2011 Will Be A Horror Film!

First of all, thank goodness the CD 2 City Council election is over. Now some of the air space can go back to the BIG problems I hope people are concerned about. The budget crisis, where it was announced the city's "Hail Mary" pass did not yield a first down and it WILL be elimination of entire departments and consolidation of other departments -- on top of the loss of the most experienced city workers who already took early retirement, that still wasn't enough to accomplish anything except a loss of the most valuable and knowledgeable employees. (See Deming's 14 Points.)

The budget crisis for 2010 is a disaster film and the situation for 2011 is a horror movie.

You will see hours cut a libraries, parks, DOT...your Planning Dept., Building & Safety...ALL CUT...meaning less enforcement of an already un-enforceable city. (But they keep adding MORE density.)

AND, on top of this (a lot of city workers about to be out of work), at the council meeting yesterday, they announced that HUD will be cutting back BIG TIME on their money that the City Housing Authority receives. AND IT WILL DEFINITELY RESULT IN A MASS OF PEOPLE ACROSS THE CITY BEING KICKED OUT OF THEIR HOMES.

So the next question is, where are they going to move? Well, the city built nothing but upscale, luxury housing...and forgot to build the affordable housing...so THAT'S NOT AN OPTION.

As a matter of fact, the discussion was how there IS no option, and it will be a new wave of homelessness like the city has never seen (because HUD has never cut all the money) -- and they acknowledge there is no where to house these people. SO I GUESS THAT MEANS, "a wave of homeless is going to hit you like a tsumani, and you know that, because I am already three or four steps ahead of you." (Zuma Dogg - April 2006. His first public comment.)

The city said it's gonna be pretty bad in 2010...and then 2011 becomes a horror film. (MUCH WORSE.)

All while you can expect to see TONS of COMMERCIAL real estate start popping up in the foreclosure auctions starting this month or next month.

That means businesses aren't doing well, here in Los Angeles. And for whatever revenue projections the city made last year...they have already admitted (in an open council meeting) that it WILL INDEED be more like Zuma Dogg said than what Grieg Smith was saying.

WHICH BRINGS US TO THE PENSION: It was also said that L.A. City's financial comeback (and when I say, "comeback," I mean, just to ALMOST get your head above water, but still in a BIG MESS) is based on a BULL Wall Street stock market.

Zuma Dogg takes this to mean if we see a BEAR (down) stock market in 2010, it will be COMPLETE FINANCIAL ARMAGEDDON (and the city would most certainly have to throw in the towel and declare the "b" word.)

SO, when I saw one of the financial administrators in chambers, yesterday, I flat out said, "The city is rolling the dice on it's financial comeback on an "up" Wall Street market."

The person agreed, AND EVEN ADDED, "That won't get us completely off the hook, there are still challenges, but..."

So I said, "So then if Wall Street goes DOWN in 2010, IT'S OVER for the city."

NO DISAGREEMENT, AT ALL.

So I went into my, "Is it EVERYONE'S job in the city to stand by idle and let the city's treasury do down the drain in a BEAR Wall Street market, because I am here to say it IS going down in 2010."

The person told me that they agreed with my assessment and their job is to make the appropriate recommendations based on that. (Not to change it, but to let them know they are about to get hammered on Wall Street so here's what you will be dealing with. It's very, "matter of fact," in chambers.

I think I might be the only one losing sleep over this.

So to sum it up, based on a fake budget with un-realistic exceptions and no action take all year long except cosmetic measures that were just enough to get rid of all the most experienced workers, the city will be suffering a wave of unavoidable firings; causing a loss of services throughout the city (it will be VERY chaotic) -- and on top of any new homeless out of that category, the city also announced the housing authority will be releasing a wave a people into the streets and the city did nothing but build all upscale housing while ignoring the affordable stuff and approving the emergency shelter money for things like the Grand Ave Project cement park, that isn't going to house a single soul.

I URGE YOU TO PLEASE FOCUS YOUR EFFORTS, NOT ON THING LIKE REDUCING COUNCIL SALARIES WHICH WASTES A LOT OF TIME AND ENERGY AND ACCOMPLISHES NOTHING (cause $1.2 million savings is NOTHING compared to the BILLIONS you should be looking at)...

AND PLEASE DO NOT DISCOUNT THE HOMELESS ISSUE THAT IS ABOUT TO SPIKE DRAMATICALLY OVER THE NEXT YEAR AND TWO YEARS!!!

PLEASE, PEOPLE...DON'T WORRY ABOUT WHETHER THERE WILL BE ADVERTISING ON YOUR LOCAL PARK BENCH, OR A FLORAL PATTERN (which is an actual issue I was forced to suffer through at one of those Mayberry Homeowner Meetings I checked out, recently. )

YOU MUST FORCE COUNCIL TO CREATE HOMELESS SHELTERS NOW...

FUCK EVERYTHING ELSE...

THE ONLY PROJECT THAT IS GOING TO SAVE THIS CITY IS EMERGENCY SHELTER.

DO YOU THINK PEOPLE ARE GOING TO MOVE TO MIRACLE MILE, OR DOWNTOWN WHEN THE HOMELESS PROBLEM IS FOUR TIMES WORSE???
