ZUMA DOGG SPEAKS on Future of Los Angeles Economy and Issues Warning Over Risky Pension Investments on Wall Street AGAINST AUDITORS ADVICE!
Let's see if I can capture a moment in time and blog out the thoughts I have rolling around my head almost every waking moment about the City of Los Angeles, it's budget crisis and how "alternative pension investments" have dragged the city down to an all time low, and we are only at the end of the beginning and it will be much worse next year.SUMMARY: Although City and County of Los Angeles, in co-operation with such beneficial philanthropists to the city, like Eli "The Broadfather" Broad and Tim "AEG" Lewikie (Jan's Pimp) PLANNED for an all upscale luxury mecca downtown; they rolled the entire city's dice from across the 15 districts at a time when the trend is toward WaMart, 99cent store and food trucks. (Not the boutique shops and upscale dining Grand Ave Project once boasted.) Now the term, "Whether the main Project is ever built, or not," is used when describing the entire caviar dream at council meetings.
And one must remember, Grand Ave Project boasts, I mean boasted of luxury condos downtown, in an era when increasing homelessness and people moving from homes to cars is more the trend.
Factor in that AEG rolled it's entire enchilada on LA LIVE & Ritz-Carlton Towers at the WORST time imaginable. And AEG took a MUCH BIGGER BATH in the '08 market crash that they are willing to admit.
Maybe things have picked up, but if there isn't a major event, the times ZD strolled through the area, it was as an "escape" to get away from the crowded L.A. in a nice quiet patch of downtown. (IS THAT WHAT WAS INTENDED?)
And the reason the rest of the city (other 14 districts) were screwed, is because they used all the CRA tax increment money that could have been used across all the districts to redevelop areas throughout the city -- but Jan Perry and Board of Stupidvisors HI-JACKED the money and gave it to Eli and he FUMBLED.
You should have seen Eli's memo on how this Grand Ave Project was going to be a regional and international attraction that was going to revitalize downtown and pull all of L.A. out of it's economic woes. And now it's, "Whether it gets built, or not!" LOL! HERE IT IS! AND, HERE'S THE ONE ABOUT AGE/LIVE. Both, my FINEST comedy writing. But read it after you read the rest of THIS post, first. )
Also keep in mind, many prime downtown buildings once owned by Muerello-Maddux are in Federal receivership being settled on for pennies on the dollar. Buildings like 9th & Flower. (Remember what a BIG DEAL it was when it opened? Does anyone realize it's in FEDERAL RECEIVERSHIP, along with others?)
AMERICAN APPAREL is DONE as an economic generator, downtown, as it's stock tanks amidst several lawsuits relating to head-honcho's sexual harassment. AND, the fact that they are less than non-liquid, but completely dehydrated.
SO JAN PERRY FUMBLED, WITH THE MAYOR, AND DOWNTOWN IS DEAD AS THE ECONOMIC GENERATOR AND CITY-SAVER THEY WERE BANKING ON.
AND SPEAKING OF "BANKS," now let's get to the pension money.
First of all, it was announced during the council meeting that the budget accounts for an 8% GAIN in pension investments on Wall Street, even though they not only lost $2 BILLION, last year, but was announced at a council meeting recently that the city ain't doin' so HOT, this year on the investments.
DWP lost BIG TIME on Wall Street with the pension money as reported at the last meeting on the topic, recently. (I posted how much, will go back and check....several millions.)
AND IT WAS EXPLAINED TO ME BY AN INSIDER IN THE CAO'S OFFICE..AS GOES WALL STREET, GOES THE GENERAL FUND.
2 years ago, no one was thinking that much that the pension money losses on Wall Street are covered out of the GENERAL FUND. (Must be nice. Wish I could gamble in Vegas with someone to bail me out of any risky gambles.)
AND, RISKY GAMBLES are what they are. HERE IS THE REPORT FROM NY AG Andrew Cuomo's report on all the shady angles Wetherly Capital, Elliott Broidy and all those shady bastards used to get themselves busted FOR LIFE! (It reads like a Martin Scorcese script for a follow-up to "Goodfellas.")
It was announced during a council meeting, after explaining why the city lost so much, that they mayor had too much pension packing power by appointing four commissioners, the Henry Cisneros project was mentioned SPECIFICALLY as a problem (Henry is Eric Garcetti's pal who swore Eric in for his final term, last year) -- AND...OVERLY RISKY "ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS" ON WALL STREET.
WE ARE NOT SUFFERING LOSS OF HAZMAT, LIBRARIES, PARKS, STREET SERVICES AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES OVER "STRUCTURAL PENSION" ISSUES THAT HAVE NOT ARRIVED, YET!
And, yes, the CalPERS shady trips and commissions are a piece of this shady corruption picture. But still only small potatoes compared to what was lost on Wall Street in "alternative investments" that Zuma Dogg says is nothing more that pension commissioners handing money over to the biggest of U.S. bigshots who back the politicians that keep them in office.
POINT OF ALL OF THIS IS: The city's budget is bad enough...but then you realize they accounted for parking lease revenues that aren't here, yet -- and it won't be so easy to get that deal done and money into the general fund in time, if at all. ALSO, they are accounting for an 8% GAIN in Wall Street investments, after losing billions, last year -- also admitting things are off, this year. And it was also noted that city current revenue is about equal to that of Zuma Dogg's.
AND as Riordan has noted, they thought Wall Street was going to go up forever, didn't plan on a major dive on Wall Street....were STILL overly optimistic in their budget projections (even though I don't think THEY were very optimistic, personally).
AND IF YOU DON'T THINK YOU SHOULD BE CONCERNED ABOUT "ALTERNATIVE INVESTMENTS" here's how shady and inappropriate it is for a city municipality to be so heavy on these types of overly risky (shady) investments (that ended up with the people involved pleading guilty and being put out of business for life or in prison):
At a meeting recently, a complaint that the Fire pension head had, regarding an audit report over the pension fund was, "the report assumed the city didn't have any alternative investments in it's portfolio, and actually we have quite a bit of alternative investments."
THAT'S A RED FLAG, FOLKS!!! SO INAPPROPRIATE, THE AUDITING FIRM NATURALLY ASSUMED THESE TYPE OF SHELL GAME SHENANIGANS WOULD NOT BE GOING ON WITH PENSION MONEY...Aka: THE CITY TREASURY.
ANALYSIS: The city of L.A. planned for an all-upscale international city at a time when people are not only moving from homes into cars (or out of the state), but the fake budget (as explained above) means the city is actually MUCH, MUCH worse than people realize; at the same time pension commissioners are lettin' it all roll on a turbulent, volatile and shady Wall Street. (IT AIN'T COMIN' BACK...MAKE ADJUSTMENTS TO ACCOMMODATE FOR THE TRUE DIRECTION THIS CITY IS HEADED, YOU FUCKING DUMMIES!)

Richard Riordan Talks PENSION MONEY ON WALL STREET as REASON CITY FACES BANKRUPTCY & LOSS OF SERVICES (PLEASE PAY ATTENTION!)
In addition, the stock market’s surge in the 1990s gave city officials unrealistic expectations for pension-fund performance, he says. [And while all other bloggers, activists and talk show hosts stayed and remain silent on issue, ZD relentlessly told city their revenue projections were unrealistic and stock market was going to crash and city had too much shady money in "alternative investments." (See "PensionGate/Wetherly Capital/Elliot Broidy/W. H. Jackson)
“The stock market did so well they assumed it was going to do so well forever,” Riordan said. “Well it hasn't.” So pension costs have exploded. “And we can’t even come close to paying for that,” Riordan said.
["Well it hasn't." A very short-hand version of saying that the city lost BILLIONS when the stock market crashed and they were caught with their derivatives pants down. (See also, Antonio's Iceland "vacation" and REAL reason he went there.) And as ZD exposed to city via tons of public comments on TV 35 -- THE PENSION MONEY LOSSES ARE COVERED OUT OF THE GENERAL FUND...HENCE, THE PENDING BANKRUPTCY. IT'S CAUSE OF BILLIONS IN SHADY PENSION LOSES. (See Andrew Cuomo's final report on Broidy & Wetherly.) AND, ZD said over and over the city would not be able to afford to operate, and they wouldn't HAVE to lay people off cause the checks will just be bouncing and people will stay home from their city jobs. (Since city wasn't doing anything about crisis.) THAT WAS TWO AND A HALF YEARS AGO.
I'm glad Mayor Riordan pays attention to ZD. He said on the radio, "You're my favorite thing to watch on TV." (To ZD when I called into KABC when Riordan was taking calls.)
SO NOW THE REST OF THE WORLD WILL WAKE UP AND PAY ATTENTION. But remember, ZD discovered, uncovered and exposed -- OVER AND OVER AND OVER and TO THIS DAY, the DUMMYBLOGGERS and talk radio hosts who only read stories out of LA Times REFUSE to mention Wall Street pension losses as the BIG ENCHILADA. (NOT structural stuff for down the line.) RIORDAN said it's cause pension money didn't do so well on Wall Street. NOT because of OBVIOUS structural problem all these empty-headed, hot-air windbag bloggers keep focusing on. THE SHADY MONEY IS STILL ROLLING ON WALL STREET AS WE SPEAK, AND I KEEP TELLING YOU SMALL-POTATO, NC, NIMBY DUMMIES...AS GOES WALL ST, GOES THE CITY! PLAIN & SIMPLE...AND IT IS THAT SIMPLE...AND THAT IS WHAT THE CAO'S OFFICE TOLD ME, SO THAT IS WHY I AM SAYING IT. BUT IT STILL WON'T BE GOOD ENOUGH FOR YOU SILLY BLOGGERS & NEIGHBORHOOD COUNCIL WANNABEES.

Did "Cuomo Witness Controversy" Post Trigger Attention of Top "International Crisis Expert" In Hopes of Preventing Illegal Military Weapons Transfer?
###
SOME BIG LEVEL PENSIONGATE INFO CONTAINED IN THIS POST: (Not for you typical local L.A. activist.)
Taking things from the top, my name is Zuma Dogg from Los Angeles, CA. Three years ago, Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, but more specifically, the people he surrounds himself with, took away my income and now my "life" by enforcing an illegal, unconstitutional law, that was eventually overturned by a Federal judge, proving we were right all along, and Zuma Dogg never should have even made his first trip Downtown, ever, to discuss the matter during the public city council meeting, which is on the record and broadcast on Time Warner cable, twelve times a week.
Recently, Zuma Dogg has become increasingly miffed by Villaraigoas's political machine, with newly added emphasis on Wendy Greuel, which has "Awakened the Zuma Within" on a newly discovered VillarGreuel political ally...NO, not the IBEW, silly...ANDREW CUOMO all the way over there in New York.
So if you want to take down the Villaraigosa/Greuel political machine (now that Jack Weiss is no longer riding in the getaway car with his two former allies and endorsers), you gotta expose Andrew Cuomo, too. And part of my goal, is to make Andrew and even Bill Clinton aware of the shenannigans here in L.A. under Doucheairagosa, so Andrew calls up and tells VillarGreuel blog-spinning trolls to remember the political operative "rules of the game."
Just like with gangs these days, these young punks have no respect for "rules of the game."
So I had to "GO BIG" to capture Andrew's attention, and try and scare him away from Antonio and Wendy, because they are all in on it together, and are using each other to help lift each other up and over the wall to try and help Bill and Hillary Clinton try to continue to "achive their dream" ($$$/power) without having the luxury of the White House and Oval Office as they are achieving it. (A comprimised dream, but a master plan still worth carrying out, even if you have to do it around Obama's back.)
AND AREN'T YOU WONDERING WHERE THIS IS GOING!:
It appears as though Zuma Dogg may have attracted the attention of former FBI lead international kidnapping negotiator, member of the New York City Joint Terrorist Task Force for 14 years (1986 -- 2000) and co-case agent for TERRSTOP (the Blind Sheik Case – Sheik Omar Abdel-Rahman) and the TWA Flight 800 Catastrophe and lead Crisis Negotiator for the New York City Division of the FBI, Chris Voss.
And without revealing my sources, I am here to say that Mr. Voss most likely became aware of this blog, and hit his radar over THIS CONTENT:
New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo Pay-To-Play Indictment IN JEOPARDY Over Key Witness Controversy
So knowing that Mr. Voss is in the "International Affairs industry" that includes "prevention through disruption" (if I may paraphrase), and in this case the "disruption" would be of a transfer of restricted military technology in violation of law as described above...maybe that would be something worth disrupting through prevention. And in this case the prevention may end up disrupting an Attorney General's office and possibly election chances.
Here's an excerpt from Voss' bio that leads my paranoid and sleep deprived, and oh yeah; narcassistic and delusional mind to such possible conclusions: "Therefore disrupting their kidnapping operations through disruptive negotiation techniques is a strategy that can be effective in disrupting terrorism."
CLICK HERE FOR YouTube of Chris Voss and more.
Here is some more material pertaining to the strategies and applications of Mr. Chris Voss of Black Swan. And remember, Mr. Voss' whole game now is consulting corporations and business how to "negotiate" and make sure the negotiation sticks. Which is what Antonio and the unions need now. So that is why I am including some "how the clock was made" info in addition to just telling you what time it is. (In other words, if I am interested in this material as City Hall related blogger, maybe you will enjoy it, too. (If not, simply scroll to next post.)
EXCERPTS FROM CHRIS VOSS BIO INFO:
"A more direct risk as a result of economic instability is workplace violence. In one French town, a company closed a plant and left workers with few protections, inciting a riot and a state of civil unrest in the town. With more forethought and consideration of the employees, the company could have headed off such a backlash."
"The biggest this is knowing when the answer is NOT a yes. And a lot of people like the sound of "yes" so much, that as soon as they hear something that sounds like yes, then they try to move as quickly past it as they can, because they think they have a solid yes. And knowing when "yes" is really a "maybe" is a HUGE issue."
- Mr. Voss' contention is that what he learned from Jim Camp’s book “Start With No” blended easily with what the FBI was doing in its negotiation program and was an important influence in developing new strategies for that program. Voss contends that the principles of hostage and kidnapping negotiation are directly applicable to business negotiation. He states that kidnappers run their operations as a form of a "business", albeit an illegal business, and as such are governed by basic business principles. Negotiation tactics that disrupt businesses will disrupt kidnapping operations. If a terrorist or criminal gang conducts a kidnapping, they have an expectation of receiving revenue in the form of a ransom within some expected time frame. If the time frame is continually extended beyond their expectations then the ransom victim becomes a form of inventory that is difficult to "turn over" and therefore undesirable. Since the business has a "sunk cost" in this "inventory" they will not discard it, but will continue to bargain for until it is "sold". Their long-term reaction will either be to avoid this type of "inventory" (meaning they will avoid kidnapping this type of person) in the future or change businesses.
- Many terrorist organizations use kidnapping as a source of funding. Therefore disrupting their kidnapping operations through disruptive negotiation techniques is a strategy that can be effective in disrupting terrorism. Since kidnapping negotiation is a form of business negotiation, Voss contends that savvy kidnapping negotiators would be talented business negotiators. Voss contends business negotiators can learn a great deal from the kidnapping negotiation process. Interestingly enough, He also contends that people who negotiate on the behalf of kidnapping victims have to form an effective working relationship with their criminal counterparts. The agreement with the kidnapper is effectively a "contract", yet there is no recourse for enforceability. The agreement itself has to be negotiated through a process wherein the process makes the agreement meet all requirements of "durability". If this contention is true, then these strategies have tremendous application to business. Increasing the durability of agreements, or negotiating them in ways which ensures that they will be performed upon would reduce or eliminate costs associated with renegotiating contracts or the legal fees associated with filing lawsuits in an attempt to enforce contracts." [THE CITY OF L.A. SHOULD HIRE THIS GUY!]
- A more direct risk as a result of economic instability is workplace violence. In one French town, a company closed a plant and left workers with few protections, inciting a riot and a state of civil unrest in the town. With more forethought and consideration of the employees, the company could have headed off such a backlash.

A Message To Controller-Elect/Cuomo Fundraiser Wendy Greuel, Better Call Antonio About His Blog Trolls!
[Pictured: Controller Wendy Greuel's "Controller." He just LOOKS like a pompous punk, doesn't he? He's not talking so big now. Now shut up and sit down with all this Governor talk. Why are people even still asking?]Hey Wendy,
Let's keep this short and simple. Based on the readership of my blog (WHO is reading, from across the country, these days), I think the LAST things any local politician wants, is to be popping up on this blog in my coverage of "money-laundering" and the politicians whose hands are dirtier than an auto mechanics. Pay-to-Play is OUT OF FUCKING CONTROL at City Hall...AND Zuma Dogg says it's pretty hard to WIN controller without getting your hands even EXTRA dirty. And then you end up having to run around putting your Councilmember title and name on Andrew Cuomo fundraisers, and Zuma Dogg is even scared to blog about the stuff Andrew Cuomo is involved with.
So again, based on my recent readership and jobs the people have who are now reading, I think the LAST thing ANY Villaraigosa ally wants IS ATTENTION ON THIS BLOG!
And the best way to get it Wendy "Greuesom" Greuel, is to have The Mayor of Los Angeles (Antonio Villaraiogsa) have professional and paid spin-trolls posting propaganda (which to me is what lies attached to half told truths is called) against an un-professional, non-elected official.
I know and recognize the difference between credible opposing posts against me, and when the objective is to make sure non-factual lies are part of it, in an attempt to smear a potential city council candidate...ME!
WENDY, you should get on the phone and tell Antonio his boy-trolls have crossed the line again, so that means Zuma Dogg is more willing to remind you to please keep your son out of the horseshoe during City Council meetings. He is a minor and a child, and the horseshoe of the City Council meeting is no place for an unattended five year old to be running around the councilmembers' desks, shuffling important papers around, and throwing things around and causing three councilmembers during the meeting to have to try and "manage" the kid.
POINT IS: If you want to turn the council chambers into "bring your kid to work day" try to arrange to have a supervisor/babysitter controlling him...even if you have to use one of your paid city hall staffers. As someone who cares about kids and the future, it does no good to allow a kid to run around, undisciplined, behaving like that. It catches up with you in teen years and into adulthood. And this lack of being able to take control has been an issue I have had with you, all along, and now you are controller so I am very concerned about your habits and abilities if you cannot even control your own kid.
Thanks, and tell Antonio to keep his trolls in line. There are rules to the game. But like the young gang members out there, these days, these young trolls do not understand, either. So that makes ME not understand.
AND I SURE AS HELL HOPE ATTORNEY GENERAL ANDREW CUOMO IS NOT FLYING INTO LOS ANGELES ON JULY 1, 2009 TO SWEAR IN L.A. CITY WRECKING BALL AND FAMILY WRECKER, ANTONIO VIAGRAOSA!
Based on what I have read about Andrew and his ties to flat-out and total corruption, including the possible surpression of treasonist/terrorist actions against the United States (YES, I WENT THERE), I would not be standing next to this guy for political help, son...And I wouldn't be raising money for him with my "ELECTED" title either, Ms. Wendy "CUOMO FUNDRAISER" GREUEL!
MAKE THE CALL TO TONY!
Watch Wendy endorse Chris Essel for CD 2. How do I know? Chris is an LAX commissioner and you can't get anything done at LAX without "seeing" Wendy, first. So I'm sure they go "way" back. But mostly, because Chris Essel is the candidate being touted by Dick Ziman of Wetherly Capital Fame. You know Wethery Capital? They are the ones being investigated by just about every investigative agency in the United States of America. (The pension-loss and pay-to-play people.) So if THEY are backing Chris, you can be sure Wendy will be backing her to. Wendy also endorsed Jack Weiss in campaign fliers. And supports Andrew Cuomo...AND, is the mayor's #1 ally at City Hall, now that Jackass is out.
I'm not so sure Wendy is as sweet as some of the folks in S-T may believe. But she DOES have that adorable haircut, and knows when to throw the chumps a bone, where it counts to keep the rest of this covered up and un-noticed.
Anyway, thanks to the Villar-troll who brought all this up in the comment section of Mayor Sam's blog, today. I think it was/will be worth it.

Did Wendy Greuel's Political Ally Andrew Cuomo Cause The Subprime Mortgage Crisis (Hence, U.S. Economic Meltdown?)
Andrew Cuomo and Fannie and Freddie
How the youngest Housing and Urban Development secretary in history gave birth to the mortgage crisis
By Wayne Barrett
-Andrew Cuomo, the youngest Housing and Urban Development secretary in history, made a series of decisions between 1997 and 2001 that gave birth to the country's current crisis. He took actions that—in combination with many other factors—helped plunge Fannie and Freddie into the subprime markets without putting in place the means to monitor their increasingly risky investments. He turned the Federal Housing Administration mortgage program into a sweetheart lender with sky-high loan ceilings and no money down, and he legalized what a federal judge has branded "kickbacks" to brokers that have fueled the sale of overpriced and unsupportable loans. Three to four million families are now facing foreclosure, and Cuomo is one of the reasons why.
-What he did is important—not just because of what it tells us about how we got in this hole, but because of what it says about New York's attorney general, who has been trying for months to don a white hat in the subprime scandal, pursuing cases against banks, appraisers, brokers, rating agencies, and multitrillion-dollar, quasi-public Fannie and Freddie
- Cuomo wasn't only stifling data that HUD could use to keep the GSEs out of trouble. He also went against his own recommendation—in a report issued jointly with the Treasury Department a few months earlier—that called for a prohibition against the GSEs purchasing loans "with high costs and/or predatory features." Instead, Cuomo decided without explanation to adopt rules that prohibited nothing.
-Just a look at the New Yorkers tied to the GSEs must have impressed Cuomo, who, after all, would soon return to New York politics. Harold Ickes, the former Clinton chief of staff and a Democratic power broker in this state, was on the Freddie board. Tom Downey, the former New York congressman who would later donate $21,894 to Cuomo, was a Fannie lobbyist. And Al D'Amato, the former banking committee chair who'd shepherded Cuomo's appointment through the Republican Senate, was a Fannie consultant.
-Two of Cuomo's aides who had also worked for his father, Howard Glaser and Todd Howe, left HUD to take top jobs at the association in the middle of the GSE rule-making (the MBA parted company with both once Andrew was out of HUD). In 2000, a year after Howe joined the association, he described how he had helped build a grassroots MBA effort to pressure Congress and others into supporting HUD in what he described as the "battle" being "waged against Fannie Mae." Glaser's Harvard alumni biography says he "played a key role in negotiating a multi-billion-dollar increase in GSE affordable-housing goals." He and Howe—who insist they had "no contact" with Cuomo on the MBA's behalf—have given $3,000 to Cuomo in recent years.
-The MBA also retained Brad Johnson, another ex–Mario Cuomo aide described as his "eyes and ears" in Washington, to lobby HUD while Andrew was secretary. Three other long-term HUD staffers who worked there under Cuomo—including the lawyer who was the contact person listed on the GSE rules—also ended up at the MBA or one of its lobbying firms. Angelo Mozilo, the CEO of Countrywide who's become the face of the subprime scandal, was at one point the MBA's president and a member of its executive committee throughout Cuomo's HUD tenure. He and other MBA leaders became Cuomo donors, with Mozilo donating $1,000 twice—in 2002 and 2006.
-FM Watch's lobbyists during the Cuomo years at HUD included Tony Podesta, the brother of Clinton's chief of staff, and the law firm Akin Gump, where Cuomo has so many allies that his campaign committee has collected $67,550 in contributions there since he formed it in early 2001. Joel Jankowsky, head of the Akin lobbying group that represented this single-issue group, gave $7,500 to Cuomo—most of it within weeks after the formation of Andrew's committee in 2001. Jankowsky is a close personal friend of Dan Glickman, who joined Akin when he stepped down as agriculture secretary just as Cuomo left HUD in 2001. Glickman's wife Rhoda was Cuomo's deputy chief of staff, and the two Glickmans donated $10,500 to Cuomo. They also covered $23,900 of their own expenses traveling and fundraising for the campaign, which listed that as an in-kind contribution.
- Cuomo was, in some respects, the last chance that borrowers had before the crisis hit. The grand ambitions unleashed when he orchestrated his father's win at such an early age propelled him to HUD's helm at a similarly early age, and convinced him to run for governor before he was ready. He seems more comfortable at 50 in the state attorney general's office than he has ever appeared in his public life, but the country will be living with his HUD mistakes, ill- or well-intended, for a long time.
LA Daily Blog Reader SMOKES Villaraiogsa/Wendy Greuel Ally Andrew Cuomo (New York Attorney General)
NOTE FROM PUBLISHER: Sorry, Andy...Los Angeles Councilmember Wendy Greuel used her "Councilmember" title on one of your fund raising invitations and you are thinking of swearing in Villaraiogsa on July 1st...those two items put you in MY jurisdiction, so you must be taken down. Nothing personal. Don't even know ya.
ANDREW CUOMO, ANDREW FARKAS, AND MARIO CUOMO: A CASE STUDY IN CONFLICTS, CORRUPTION, AND FAILURE.
As New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo attempts to cross state lines to garner national attention, his past and present seem to be catching up on him. Recent NY press have all but anointed the less than impressive Cuomo as their governor elect, however, his 2010 fundraising committee filing is reminding New Yorkers that Cuomo is still in the pocket of real estate slumlords, attorneys representing real estate slumlords, and of course, Willkie, Farr, & Gallagher, the law firm of his father Mario who is of counsel to the private equity, hedge fund, and structured finance group at the firm which has represented many of the investment companies his son is now investigating. Of special note to all parties following the pension investigation is the obvious omission of his friends in real estate. Rumors have also recently surfaced that Cuomo had an extra marital affair with the wife of seated Governor David Patterson and an affair with a subordinate presently under his direct supervision. The following are excerpts from articles written by the highly regarded Wayne Barrett of the Village Voice.
Andrew Cuomo's $2 Million Man
How the Attorney General wannabe turned an accused slumlord into a sugar daddy
Wayne Barrett, with special reporting by Alex Altman and Alicia Lozano
published: August 29, 2006
-The most important man in Andrew Cuomo's personal and political life, topping even his ex-governor father, is obscure, 46-year-old developer Andrew Farkas, who's ponied up over $2 million for the front-running attorney general candidate in recent years. That includes $1.2 million in salary that Farkas's firm, Island Capital, paid Cuomo in 2004 and 2005, as well as over $800,000 in identifiable campaign contributions from varied Farkas companies, family members, and business associates. It does not include an undisclosed amount Island paid Cuomo up to June 2006, when Cuomo finally left the company, which specializes in Dubai and Caribbean luxury marinas. Cuomo's earnings tripled when he went to work at Island, where he's made more money than at any other time in his life.
-Cuomo, too, appeared uninformed about what the lawsuit and his own public statements said about the direct linkage between the alleged kickbacks—which drained millions from the actual maintenance of the projects where thousands lived—and the conditions. All he would say was Farkas "thought it was OK legally" to participate in the fee-splitting arrangement, believing that "HUD had approved it" previously, which Farkas certainly reiterated. Despite authorizing the suit that challenged the practice as secretary, Cuomo now refers repeatedly to a court decision that he says occurred after he left HUD in 2001 and that apparently found similar payments made by another management firm legal. Ironically, he seemed to prefer that precedent to the Rozet case, which affirmed Cuomo's onetime opinion that the fee-splitting was illegal, and was also resolved after he left office, ending in a settlement that vindicated the government's position on the payments. Farkas pointed to the same case, though neither he nor Cuomo knew any specifics about it.
-As remarkable as Cuomo's subsequent relationship with Farkas is in view of the prior accusations, what's also disturbing is that he approved an out-of-court settlement with Insignia that allowed the company to complete a billion-dollar sale of its residential portfolio only five days later.
-Farkas and Cuomo, who say they did not meet at the time of the case, have told reporters they crossed paths accidentally during a visit with a "big guy in the real estate business" in 2001, that Farkas initially regarded him as a "sworn enemy" because of the 1997 charges, but that they quickly patched things up. After this initial "bonding" session, as Gilbert described it, Farkas told him and other senior staff that he was "bringing Cuomo up to Insignia offices" and that he wanted them to "hear Andrew out." The purpose of the meeting, said Gilbert, was for Cuomo "to talk about fee-splitting," to prove that "he didn't have it in for Insignia per se," to explain that he was dealing with a supposedly "industry-wide" issue, and to convince the key executives that they "shouldn't hate him." Cuomo declined to tell the Voice who introduced him to Farkas, and would not describe the discussion
-Whatever the magic-tongued Cuomo said, Insignia entities began immediately donating to Cuomo, launching an avalanche of Farkas-tied contributions that has continued right up to the most recent filing. The first Insignia contributions—$5,000 apiece from two entities—occurred in August 2001, just months after Cuomo left HUD, and were among the very first donations to his newborn gubernatorial campaign committee. They were hardly the first Farkas contributions to a Cuomo; other members of the Farkas family, which used to own the Alexander's department store chain, had contributed to the campaigns of Cuomo's father, Mario, when he was governor. Mario Cuomo actually appointed Farkas's father to the board of the state's powerful Dormitory Authority in his final year in office in 1994, and Robin Farkas became its chairman in 1995.

Zuma Dogg's City Hall "Totem Pole" of Shadiness (A Pictorial)
While ZD was questioning the source on the likelihood of Villaraigosa or any City Councilmembers getting caught up in the pension scandal (now affectionately called, "PensionGate" by ZD), the source snapped back, "Why do you care about such small potatoes?"(Sorry Councilmembers, your just small potato foot solidiers there to do the big boys' dirty work and stay out of the way, CAPISHE!?!? So let's go back and work out way up (or down) the totem pole of shadiness and corruption.

NOTE: Welcome newest member, the IBEW backed/Andrew Cuomo fundraising/Villar get away car riding, LA City Councimember, "Wicked" Wendy Greuel (Aka: :Greuesom Greuel...SHE IS!)
More totem poles to come...like the Bill & Hillary Clinto and Andew Cuomo and Richard Ziman, Vicky Schiff, William H. Jackson and Darius Anderson totem poles. The Jack Weiss totem pole has been canceled. Special Lifetime achievement totem pole to De Beers.

[Picutred: You could throw a dart and hit shadiness. HEY COUNCIL AND CITY ATTORNEY DION, Shut the F*CK up when I'm talkin' unless there is a violation of actual real law, not your dumb "just because you say say so's." CAPISHE!You lost on Friday and will lose every time, because the law is on MY side you empty-headed, take the money and lie losers. And remember, Wendy Greuel allowed her Councilmember title to be used on an invitiation for an Andrew Cuomo fundraiser. That will become a bigger issue in weeks to come.]
# When I first came to City Hall the 1st Amendment stuff was a BIG issue, but I liked to focus on other things. But time to focus on it again.
# Badlands, you gotta live 'em every day. Let the broken heart stand as the price you gotta pay. Keep pushin till it's understood.
# I hope City Attorney TRUTANICH advises City Council that they are open to lawsuits in their operation of EACH MEETING, and they are coming.
# ZD is the 800 lb gorilla at Council meeting, so I tolerate their illegal interruptions, but with Pensiongate talk, they're going too far.
# City Hall hopes you don't know the law so they can move you away from your rights. Most people just walk away assuming they must be wrong.
# FREEDOM?: A cop at Council meeting tried to tell me I couldn't stand next to my friend as he spoke. ZD called the Captain. ZD got to stand!
# Gotta remember something, it's PRESIDENT Obama on ONE side, and Clinton/Cuomo/Burkle/Villaragiosa on the other.Which side would YOU pick?
# U.S. Government is FED up with Villar's corrupt nonsense. It's been exposed. Too blatant. Maybe they'll let him step down to avoid charges.
# My source thinks it's news that LAX gives kickback money to the City of Los Angeles. I don't know...that may be fairly well known...Is it?
# And if there is one thing that makes this new source of mine upset, it is that Jan Perry seems to quietly be getting away with WAY too much.
# Janice Hahn is probably relieved that I didn't mention her in the previous IBEW kick-back Tweet below. That's just cause I ran out of room.
# When thinking of IBEW kick-backs, the mayor would be no surprise. But Wendy Greuel has been getting a pass when discussing this topic. Why?
# I have had about five sources piling on relentless info in the PESNIONGATE scandal, but now another good source has emerged with IBEW stuff!
# CA AG Candidate Delgadillo can expect a lawsuit filed by Zuma Dogg regarding jury tampering and I'll throw in Pay-To-Play lawsuit for free!
# Speaking of Rocky Delgadilldo, can anyone say, "Pay-To-Play?" Compare the outside contracts he awarded, to his campaign money "inbox." PTP!
# Speaking of lawsuits: I'm getting ready to file one on CA Attorney General Candidate Rocktard Delgadilldo. I suspect jury tampering by Rocky!
# L.A. City Council violates the law simply in the way they run EVERY meeting. VERY CORRUPT. Any lawyers? Call, I can prove it in FED lawsuit.
# FREE SPEECH?: If L.A. City Council DOES NOT LIKE what you are saying, they will call you off topic then cut you of, then remove and ban you!
# They CALL it "freedom" but try even "standing up" for 5 seconds at an L.A. City Council meeting. If you don't ultimately sit down....ARREST!
# I really don't feel "FREE" on the streets of L.A. anymore. Cops are EVERYWHERE trying to bust you for looking the wrong way, just for the $.
# I know we need rules to maintain civility; but too many fess and fines are not because of that. Perhaps GOVT is cause of financial meltdown.
# It may seem like we have freedom because that's what they call it, but try sleeping, or even STANDING in the WRONG place and get a ticket.
# It just hit me as odd that when as a baby is born, they are saddled with debt, taxes, regulations by a corrupt "powers that be" that SAY SO!
# NATURE OF MY PROBLEM: For a guy with nothing but time, I'm always feeling pressure to keep pushing 24/7.Don't have time to change my shirt!
# The Zuma Dogg character used to be a triumphant celebration of life. (See YouTube.) But city's activist energy has tapped in and pulled me.
# I just heard some a-hole at wi-fi cafe say, "Wow, I can't even function today without my eight hours sleep." Hope an asteroid falls on him.
# I wonder if I slept in a bed every day, ate regularly and wasn't always so stressed iif my magic ZD powers would all go away? Probably not.
# Once you're this sleep deprived even things like walking 100 ft or deciding "plain or peanut" becomes difficult. Tiny decisions become hard.

New York AG Cuomo Wins Request to DELAY S.EC. Pension Kickback Case (This Hurts Defense)
NY AG wins court OK staying SEC pension case
By Joan Gralla
NEW YORK (Reuters) - A federal judge on Friday approved New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo's request to delay the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's pension kickback case, rejecting defense attorneys' arguments that this could give the federal regulator an unfair advantage.
Cuomo, a Democrat, is investigating millions of dollars of fees investment firms paid to middlemen in return for being hired to invest some of the state's $110 billion pension fund.
The SEC is conducting a separate, civil probe of the same ties between investment firms and the agents, lobbyists and lawyers they hired.
"This litigation is a non-entity until the criminal matter is concluded in the New York State Supreme Court," said Judge Colleen McMahon, of the Southern District of New York in Manhattan, at the hearing.
Cuomo's request is common in such investigations, as prosecutors fear that defendants in criminal trials will benefit from any materials turned over to them in civil proceedings.
A New York grand jury indicted the former comptroller's fund-raiser, Henry Morris, and pension investment officer, David Loglisci. Lawyers for the two say they are innocent.
Grand jury proceedings are sealed, which means Cuomo cannot share any information reaped from them with the SEC.
But these secrecy rules do not apply to the state securities law, the Martin Act.
While the stay stops discovery for the SEC and the defendants, Cuomo could give the SEC what he gleans under the Martin Act, said an attorney for Dallas-based Aldus Equity Partners, which the SEC charged in the pay-to-play probe.
Defense attorneys suffered another setback when State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli, who has sued Aldus, said he might sue other firms. He said pension lawyers had advised him against revealing how the probe-linked firms performed.
If their investment results were solid, it would be harder to show the public was harmed, lawyers say. That is why so much of the probe focuses on whether the fees were disclosed.
The lawyers noted that all investments were vetted by multiple staffers and outside consultants, as required.
"The key part is the decision-making process was 100 percent analytically arrived at (according to) policy and procedure," a source familiar with the issues said.
Glenn Colton, the attorney who represents Aldus Equity, said neither the SEC nor the comptroller has said that Aldus was not a prudent choice as an investment advisor, or that the pension fund paid inflated fees, or that the pension dollars were invested in a subpar manner.
"The actions of ruining people's businesses ... and creating the impression of pensioners being bilked in an Enron- or WorldCom type of way is grossly inaccurate," he said.
The cases made by Cuomo and the SEC -- at least so far -- face other hurdles. Aldus was recommended by Memphis-based Consulting Services Group, which asked the SEC to "correct inaccurate allegations" about its pact with Connecticut-based Searle & Co, where Morris was registered as a broker-dealer.
Any case against Morris partly hinges on his ability to influence pension staffers in choosing which firms were hired.
The SEC's case is SEC v Morris et al, 09 cv 2518.

Is NEW YORK Attorney General ANDREW CUOMO Swearing In Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraiogsa
Alright, Zuma Dogg cannot confirm the following, because until the airline ticket is booked, it may not actually happen, but Zuma Dogg has a friend in the airline industry who thinks New York Attorney Genral Andrew Cuomo may be swearing in Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Viagraiosa for his second term on July 1, 2009.
So I have between now and until the invitations are printed to prevent this from happening.
Here's the picture as I see it:
Zuma Dogg was happy to hear that Andrew Cuomo was investigating pension fund shadiness , that included ties to Los Angeles, and ZD felt these ties lead to City Hall. Well think how discouraged I was to find that Councilmember Wendy "Greuesome" Greuel (part of Team Villaraiogsa) was part of a fund raiser in Los Angeles recentlty for Mr. Cuomo's Attorney General race where he is running for re-election (but the money could be used to run for NY Governor if/when he makes that announcement. AND ZUMA DOGG SAYS, OF COURSE HE IS GOING TO RUN FOR GOVERNOR. Do you have local councilmembers put their name on fundraising invitiations just for plain old Attorney General? HELL NO!
So anyway, if he runs for Guv, or not, Wendy is raising money for him, and she rolls with Villaraiogsa, so I really don't think Cuomo is going to investigate, yet indict Villaragiosa if they are raising money for him.
And I think Wendy was just a warm up until Antonio puts on his tap dancing shoes and Mickey Mouse outfit to deliver the pizzas, or whatever it is he runs around telling all the politicians he can deliver. (He's gonna deliver it to Hillary. He's gonna deliver it to the Union for Measure B. He's gonna deliver it to Jack Weiss. DELIVERY RETURNED UNDELIVERED, SON!
But greedy, desparate and especially shameless politicians don't care about that stuff. So I'm sure you'll see Antonio raise money for Cuomo to help him in the NY Gubernatorial election. So I'm sure Cuomo will be too busy counting Antonio's money to investigate him.
But there is a cloud over Antonio, right now, in the Wetherly pension scandal OVER CUOMO'S INVESTIGATION.
So what better way to remove the cloud of doubt over Antonio's head, than to have the guy doing the investigation (Cuomo) fly in from New York to swear the damn guy in, himself!
Then Antonio can still think of running for California Governor, as long as the SEC doesn't get him.
So mastermind and matchmaker Bill Clinton has to orchestrate the puppet masters of NY and CA so he can carry on to the best of his ability after losing the White House to Obama.
(Damn, Obama messed up the De Beers/Clinton Master Plan. Ain't that a shame. Now Cuomo just might have to fly to California to swear in the dumb puppet soldier from Los Angeles who is about one scandal away from not being worth even dealing with anymore.) There might be an opening for new puppet soldier in L.A./CA region.)
Now if this happens you can say, "Daaaaaaaaamn, Zuma Dogg, you are ONE master strategist to have drawn that conclusion."
BUT, hopefully, I will be wrong and none of this will happen, if ZD's blogging can help it.
HEY ANDREW...STAY IN NEW YORK AND INVESTIGATE ANTONIO!
ANTONIO STAY IN YOUR OFFICE AND FIX THE BUDGET IN THE FACE OF $7 BILLION PENSION LOSS.
WENDY & ANTONIO...KEEP YOUR FUCKING FACE OUT OF NEW YORK MONEY LAUNDERING, I MEAN FUND RASING.

Platinum Advisors founder Darius Anderson at the same party Villaraigosa is pandering at.
Ya know, I really do not like the divisive spin coming out of Mayor Anotnio VIllarigosa's office regarding a certain newly elected official who CREAMED THE CAREER out of Jackass Weiss.
There is a lot of scandal and corruption to be told when you are talking about losing $7 BILLION dollars of CITY PENSION MONEY in a scheme that the SEC is now investigating, arrests and guilty pleas have been made, subpeonas issued by NY & CA Attorney General's office, AND TODAY, Los Angeles City Council finally delivers Zuma Dogg the biggest "I TOLD YOU SO" OF ALL TIME, as those 7 BILLION TIME LOSERS OF L.A. CITY COUNCIL held a hearing regarding "LACER PENSION REFORM" (too late, dumb-ass Councilosers), which included one guy who basically says Villaraigosa has been shady as fuck all along. I AM GOING DOWN AS A LEGEND IN THIS CITY FOR BEING SO FUCKING RIGHT ON THE BIGGEST ISSUE IN CITY & STATE HISTORY, THAT I AM STILL BEING HUMBLE AS I SAY THIS.
And now, EVERYONE in the media can join in with this scandalous and tragic story of greed, arrogance and corruption now that the LA Times will surely be covering this.
Here are the names I am publishing to punish Villaraigosa for paying people to spin against the new City Attorney's office. I am going to bitch slap you with my blog until you can't even get elected for Lincoln Heights Neighborhood Council, let alone Governor.
AS A MATTER OF FACT, I'M NOT GONNA STOP UNTIL EVEN THE MONEY LAUNDERERS WHO BACK VILLARAIGOSA WON'T TOUCH HIM!
two can play at this game, bitch! and YOU will lose. i have nothing. you have EVERYTHING to lose. but you WON'T be able to walk away. you just won't i would stay away from vegas and keep your commissioner appointments hands off the pension money. DON'T WORRY, VILLAR'S TEAM IS OUTTA THERE! IT'S JUST SO OVER FOR TEAM VILLAR. His pension team is getting yanked by the city,IF NOT THE FEDS! There is NO WHERE TO HIDE! Better hop on the plane to Dubai, TEAM VILLARAIOGSA and international drug launderers and their political cronies.

I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, I TOLD YOU SO, INFINITY!!!!
L.A. councilmen say mayor shouldn't control pension boards
Dennis Zine and Bernard C. Parks say Villaraigosa should not be able to appoint the majority of members to the City Employees' Retirement System and the Fire and Police Pensions boards.Responding to investigations of public pension systems across the country, two members of the Los Angeles City Council called Wednesday for a reduction in Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa's power to pick pension board members.

However, in my investigation of Cuomo's investigation, I found out that Cuomo appears to be shadier than Villaragiosa and Wendy "Greuesome" Greuel combined! Wendy is the current L.A. City Councilmember who will be sworn in as City Controller on July 1st. Since Jack Weiss lost his city attorney bid, last week, and will also be OUT as Councilmember in July, Greuesom Greuel is now Villaraigosa's closest and most powerful political ally.
Over the weekend, ZD came across a little "glitch" in Cuomo's investigation. And I came up with another "glitch" regarding Cuomo's overall integrity.
- New York Attorney General Andrew Cuomo Pay-To-Play...[THIS STORY!]
- Is NY AG Andrew Cumo's Personal Money Manager IMPLICATED in New York Pension Scandal?
But regarding AG Jerry Brown's investigation, if Jerry doesn't go after Antonio directly in all of this, even the hint of Villaraigosa running for Governor at this point, means Jerry Brown, who may also have Gubernatorial aspirations, will pull out that subpoena file, and start looking at it again to try and remember how it all ties to L.A.'s Master Placement Agent, Antonio Villaraiogsa. (He also happens to be the mayor.)
Zuma Dogg says Wendy will be running for Mayor when Antonio either steps down over this PensionGate scandal (SEC investigation, NOT Cuomo's), or in four years (since Antonio now has 0.01% chance of being Governor of California). Or maybe the Democrats have even higher hopes for Wendy!
So Antonio has Wendy, and like Spock's mom in the new Star Trek movie, Jack Weiss didn't make it back to the Enterprise when everyone was beamed back from the exploding planet.
In other words, Antonio and Wendy won, but Jack lost the big seat, CITY ATTORNEY, to the other end of the political rope, Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich. THIS IS A BIG, BIG...BIG problem for Villar and Greuesom. Not only didn't they get their boy Jackass in there to be able to continue to take the corruption to new and higher levels as you have the same gang in all the seats of the get away car (Villar, Weiss, Greuel), but now they ALL have to worry about what may end up coming out in the wash once Nuch takes office, or what laws they may no longer be able to skirt, or ignore, or change to accomodate themselves.
So Antonio ain't looking too good in this PensionGate scandal that includes a bunch of his pals and commission appointments that is being operated out of Cuomo's office. So how do you get out of it and create a "win-win" for everyone (and by everyone, I mean the politicians, not the people)?
YOU FUND RAISE FOR THE GUY DOING THE INVESTIGATION!!! (In this case Cuomo.)
So look for Villaraigosa to get out there for Cuomo and deliver the Latino vote and money to Andrew, like he delivered it to Hillary, then Obama.
BUT, Villar couldn' t be there for this Cuomo fundraiser, because it's not time, yet.
So standing in for Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa was COUNCILMEMBER Wendy Greuel.
HERE WE GO AGAIN!!! Why is an L.A. City Councilmember raising money for the shadiest Attorney General, quite possibly based on the two links above, in the history of this country?
Wouldn't it be nice, if Villar's and Cuomo's team up to represent N.Y. & L.A., the way Snoop and Dre teamed up, representin' the City of Long Beach & Compton!
Imagine if you had the same shady team in control of the New York governor's office AND California office!!! (That still may be the dream, to have Antonio be Governor in Cali, with Cuomo in NY...although we all know that ain't gonna be happening now, at the time of this invite, it was still all systems go.)
So you can say Wendy was just doing her part as a concered citizen, expressing her first amedment right by feeling the necessity as an L.A. resident to get out there and raise money for NEW YORK Attorney General. HOWEVER, it says "COUNCILMEMBER" Wendy Greuesom of the invitation. So that says to Zuma Dogg that she was using her influence as an elected public official to get people to show up and chip in. And if that is not the case, and Wendy is such a bigshot regular community member, how come they put COUNCILmember on the invitation.
AND, once you read the links above regarding Cuomo, on top of what you probably already know about him...WE NOW HAVE THE CITY CONTROLLER OF LOS ANGELES DOING ON TEAM CUOMO. (Must be nice Wendy...Let's see where else your name pops up!)
